I had good grades in High School and good ACT numbers, so I was getting letters from all number of schools. I was LSU all the way and did not consider anything else.

I only applied to LSU. I got some interest from Columbia and they were going to set me up to interview with an alumnus in my area. My dad wanted me to and I guess I should have but I knew I wasnt going there even if I got accepted.
A few years later my brother was being recruited to play football at Brown. He too elected not to and I thought he was crazy not to at least check it out. It brought home to me how stupid I was to pass up my own opportunity.

Applied to GA Tech and LA Tech. GA Tech sent their acceptance letter to the country's post office overseas, instead of the FPO. I got the letter 3 months after I accepted to go to LA Tech, the day before I flew out.
After the Army, applied to SFA and LSU, got accepted to both, but I had inadvertently switched my residence from TX to LA somehow, so attended LSU.

MSU. But left there to join the Navy. I was burned out in school. Navy was an absolute blast. AvFuels QA on the Constellation. Turned out to be a great decision for me.

Applied to LSU for undergrad and grad school. Went. Didn’t apply anywhere else. Considered UT(exas), UVA, Michigan (visited and almost transferred), Hillsdale, and Pepperdine.
Law school: applied to Tulane. Went there. Didn’t apply elsewhere. Considered CU (Boulder), UNC, Stanford, Vandy.
Took theology / patristics courses at Emory (Candler) and RTS. Visited DU for some reason. Just wanted to move there. Never applied.
Still considering getting MTS or similar at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. But I’m old.
