Won two state titles as a player there and the first season coaching her alma mater, she loses the title game.
Could have had a legendary coaching career.

no flopping

There is flopping in hockey. Turned a “nothing to see here” into a power play. Buffalo did it Sunday against the Bruins.
It would be great to shoot it out your tailpipe, especially at someone who is tailgating you.
Alvarez with 2 more homers than we have wins. Not even 25 games played yet and I can’t wait for this season to end.
Hoping my Bruins win some playoff games just to give me something else to listen to.

Immediately thought of King of Queens episode about Doug’s childhood dog.

Good Medical and Journalism school. Athletics, not so much.
My father never got angry, but when he turned 88, his mind did slip a bit. I discovered he was being scammed for money by this lady in Connecticut.
I started watching his mail closer and put a stop to that.
He was scammed out of $500 by someone else, told me a couple months later that he was too embarrassed to tell me. I told him, working with the Postal Service, we see these scams frequently and the scammers are good at what they do.
We got past that and had no other issues, then it was just him forgetting things and not being able to have specific answers about questions I would ask.
I had him move in with me, into the last house he built so he could be in his bedroom and living area that he was used to.
All you can do is love them and help them the best you can, and I always tried to be patient as he was the same raising me.

I have Bose throughout my home and at work for 11 years and had one upgrade.
I’m pleased.

the last 2 State series are difficult to fathom.

I believe the stat for our hitters was 32 strikeouts and 2 walks. Georgia pitched very well against us. Then our approach at the plate sucked vs Tennessee, taking strikes and swinging at balls off the plate. Our pitching staff is not elite, so all of that contributes to the results we are seeing lately.

I’m ready for soccer. But seriously, that’s baseball. Still time to turn it around.
I had a customer come to my Post Office during peak season, complaining about getting her mail delivered after dark. I told her since she lives on the larger route, on the next to the last street on that route and it gets dark much quicker in the wintertime, she could either move to a street on the beginning of the route or rent a PO Box and get her packages by 9:00am every morning.
In 13 games, opponents have scored 15 runs via bases loaded walks.
Dear Lord, has anyone tracked our injuries the last few seasons? It just seems like we are cursed.

Limited supply of sizes on hand.
I’m seeing multiple sources saying the Lady Vols now have zero players on the roster as of a couple hours ago.
I follow Iowa State’s women and they had 10 of 12 enter the portal. Complete rebuild. It’s crazy. How a coach is supposed to bring in 10 or 12 players brand new to the program and hope somehow they can gel in just a few months is insane. I can see why coaches are getting out of the game.

Not sure who thought his schtick would work at the MLB level

Tim Kurkjian was told by someone in the Giants organization that one of the reasons they liked Tony was that he was a good recruiter. Tim said he told the guy he’s not sure recruiting is a thing in mlb.

I’ve never thought of Dawn as a thug. She grew up in Philly, played at UVA for Debbie Ryan. Went to 3 final fours and was national POY twice. Debbie was a tough coach, as was John Chaney who also mentored Dawn and helped shape her as a coach. Her coaches and mentors instilled qualities such as discipline, teamwork, commitment, excellence, and execution. Doesn’t surprise me that she demands the same from her program and why it’s successful.
