Neither have I which is why I’m somewhat in the dark. But online reviews show them quietly climbing the ladder in reliability according to several sites. They’ve had a negative reputation until since 2019. ...

It’s a definitely smaller in third row leg room area, and about 5 less cubit feet cargo. The engine won’t have as much kick, but again, $20,000 less has to be taken into consideration. Am I wrong on this?
Eta, Resale is not a big deal for me if I plan to have for 10 years. ...

Highlander costs 20K more than the Outlander, yet the Highlander averages close to 6K maintenance during first ten years of service, whereas the Outlander costs $7200.
Seems like the Outlander is a better buy if wanting a long time vehicle. ...

I don’t really care about tech. Stripped but reliable is what I’m aiming for. I’m know they don’t have a good reputation in the past, but for the price point, it’s hard to beat. ...

I’m looking into buying the Outlander, but wondered if anyone has had experience with their reliability or any other issues. JD Power rates them pretty high. They are all over Europe, but don’t see them much here.
