It’s PODS data I assume they collect based on where their containers are coming from and going to. Can’t speak to the methodology, but always good to NOT see any Louisiana cities on a top “leaving” list.

People leaving California, New York & Illinois and heading to Texas, Florida and the Carolinas.
What a shock. Hmm…..I wonder why that is?

Cue the Southerners taking a victory lap as their ancestral homes are transformed beyond recognition.
I like visiting the in-laws in Charlotte and there’s no difference between it and a suburb of Detroit.

According to this study, it tells me PODS has a larger presence in California, NY, and Illinois.

I just met a couple last week who moved here (Pittsburgh area) from Nashville because of cost. I suppose this has always happened, the mass migration, but it seems like the cycle is getting much faster. Eventually going to be a problem if it continues

US population is no longer growing so we’ll increasingly see cities become have and have nots. Cities that have had flat growth will shrink and cities that were losing will lose population faster.
But cities that have been booming for decades may grow much slower, if at all. Things are going to be very different very soon absent any reversal to allow significant immigration.

It's almost like people are tribalistic and want to be near their own kind.
