This album cover was released the same year as Pet Sounds. Not sure people dressed as butchers with decapitated babies and slabs of meat is any better.

None of what you just proposed suggests Iran’s oil production is irrelevant as you originally stated.

I think he is saying the price of oil doesn’t affect the prices of everyday items as much as other factors. Given the fact that these prices were much lower when oil was priced similarly years back.
Therefore, oil is not driving these prices higher.

Iran is almost irrelevant now on the oil scene.
Isn’t Iran responsible for roughly 4-5% of the world’s oil? Mostly purchased by China. Thats not irrelevant.

Do a bike tour the first day. It helps being active to shake jet lag. And is a great way to get your bearings. They tend to hit major areas.
Good way to get a vibe and determine where you want to come back to.
I have a rec for the one we did if interested

Just about anywhere in Manhattan is safe these days. Once you establish your budget, just google “best areas to stay in manhattan”.
They will give you the vibe of each area. Just pick which ones you like the best. We try to stay in a different area each time.
If still uncertain, pick the area where the majority of the things you want to do. If all spread out, pick the area where the #1 thing you want to do. Or the ones that are times sensitive so you can walk instead of relying on subways.

Wasn’t Creighton in that CWS too? Baseball was different back then.

He was already on a team that mattered. You can’t wish for the same thing twice.

Trolls for other fan bases that aren’t playing right now. They like to stir up trouble.

Too early to tell but he definitely did not get out to the start he wanted this year.
re: Ticket prices to the Saturday evening game are outrageous

Can’t speak on opening rd. But I went to all 3 games the championship series in ‘23. We bought tix 2-3 hours before game time. After fees, each ticket was $175 or less. 1st base line.

Who is more fertile? I’m raw-dogging that one over and over again.
re: On this day in 1997

I don’t remember the 28-2 game. I guess I blocked that out. I seem to remember LSU winning the SEC regular season, Bama won the SEC tournament, and we came in #1/2 seeds in CWS. We were clearly the two best teams that year but LSU won the final game.
re: Wins as a pitchers stat

As others pointed out, with changes in the game, this stat has lost a lot of its value.

re: How hard is it to re-shuffle the seeds?
Posted by kciDAtaE on 6/9/25 at 9:50 am
Nah. If a lower seed runs through a regional by knocking off the overall #1 seed and then upsets another higher seed in a super, their reward shouldn’t be having to face the toughest team remaining in the tournament.
re: When will we know Omaha Game Times?

I’m guessing it will be released after the entire field is set
re: Happy LSU going back to Omaha, but everyone needs to calm down...

This weekend was the worst our starting pitching has looked all season but yet we destroyed this team.
It’s nice to see our offense can pick-up the pitching. And we didn’t even use our two best relievers.
If you were pointing to this weekend to temper expectations moving forward, you missed the mark.
