There is nothing pop rock about Runnin With The Devil, Unchained, Mean Street, Light Up The Sky, Ain't Talkin Bout Love....I
There was also Dancing the Night Away, Pretty Woman, Dancing in.the Street, Hot for Teacher, Jump, Panama, Beautiful Girls, Everybody Wants Some........was it an edgier with DLR yea I can agree with that opinion but there was still a mix of pop rock in thier DLR era catalog. Just an aside . Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do was also one of the few non pop.rock songs during the Hagar era and probably.my favorite.

Just like the boomers in Congress and in the white house. These insufferable old timers just can't let go.

I saw the Little River Band in Mobile at the end of April. No original members, but the songs sounded great and they put on an awesome show.

Though there will never be another Paul McCartney, IMO, it's time for him to retire. Two or so weeks ago, he was the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live, and one of his backup singers helped on the high notes, masking Paul's inability to still hit those notes.
18 months ago, I think, McCartney was the musical guest SNL's Christmas show. For that performance, he did all the singing alone, and badly missed the higher notes.
Paul will forever be rock/pop royalty, he was a member of a genre changing band in The Beatles, and with John Lennon, he was arguably one the best ever writers/composers.
But with all those accolades and honors, there's something to be said for knowing when to call it quits. IMO, when it comes to Mr McCartney, he is long past his "best if used by" date.

At one time there were three different groups touring that claimed to be the original Coasters.

I'd rather see Sammy Hagar.

I saw a Who farewell tour in the Astrodome in 1990. I really believed it was the end of an era and felt that I had to drive 4 hours each way and stay in a hotel to see something special. As they continued to play live I was a little bitter about the deceptive tactics, But it became so common that I got over it. And Pete Townshend is such a musical genius I couldn't stay mad at him.

With streaming, music residuals have basically cratered. If these groups don't own their masters, they Touring is really the only way to make money. It also only works for the older groups. Their fans are less likely to stream . So an older band can be very profitable and if you look at the top touring acts, they are almost all older groups. With replacements for original members, some of the band's musicianship has gotten better, but they aren't the same. Many original group members couldn't play a lick and the replacements are better. Journey has had several lineup changes, but even Steve Perry can't sing anymore. The hired guns they are using as well as the current singer probably put on an overall better show, but it is essentially a tribute band.

Went to see Styx and Cheap Trick a few weeks ago in Little Rock. Styx was fantastic, Cheap Trick not so much.

Saw him at The Woodlands last summer, Loverboy (!) was the opener. Hagar was great, and Loverboy wasn't bad. Mike Reno has to be almost 3 bills.
