There are plenty who are washed up but there are some who still have it in their 70s and 80s. I say let them go as long as they want because once they stop and die off the greatest era of music is gone and it’s never coming back.

DLR sold his music publishing recently. The amount of $ wasn't disclosed but it was estimated to be in the $60-100 million range.

A week from tomorrow, I’ll be at a Michael Martin Murphey concert! He’s 81 years old.

One of the better I saw as of late, Air Supply. One is 75, the other 76.

I saw Doug Gray with the Marshall Tucker Band, he’s 78.

A few months back, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, he’s 83.

In April I saw LeAnn Rimes, she’s a youngster at 43.

And to think, today's performers masquerade as 'performers'

is it wrong to suggest they should consider euthanasia?

It's not their fault.

He's playing to an audience full of people who probably paid $125 to see that.

I'd keep showing up as long as there were suckers willing to pay me to do it too.

You would too.
