Part of the issue is people repeating nonsense they read on social media as fact. There have been things that never happened (on tape or otherwise) in the Karmelo Anthony case that some people are still insisting absolutely did happen, despite the fact that his own defense attorneys didn't even bring it up at trial.

It’s the same idiocy just a different flavor when CNN reports “mostly peaceful protest” and when a mob attacked our capitol on January 6. A large number of people choose to believe only what fits their narrative

All this bitching from both sides is the reason we are where we are at.

I disagree.

America has always been great, but we struggled under Carter, the last two years of Reagan, the last year or Bush, they last two years of Clinton, last two years of W Bush, and the last 12 years of Trump-Biden-Trump.

People are more focused on “D. Vs R” and ignore whether or not the president actually does a good job!

100 years from now, history will look kindly on Reagan and Obama, lean positive on Clinton and W Bush, and call Biden and Trump out for the abject failures that they are.

Eh…:I have to say that the arbitrary designation of starting with the third number the decade is wrong.

Give me 1984 to 1994 as the peak.

It depends on your viewpoint. Yeah.. if you like people walking around with their noses stuck in cellphone 24/7, the inability of people to think for themselves lest they be ostracized, the constant fearmongering by politicians and media and the ever more intrusive government and big brother... then yeah... we are much better off today.

Amen.

Just don’t attach names/labels to this post.
lol. Shows the complete disconnect most politicians have from the rest of us.

FWIW, one of my close friends in 8th grade’s father was a congressman. They lived in a modest house and were normal people. Ain’t like that at all today.

Apparently, you are.

So you hate America because Trump made money off crypto and not career politicians rigging the stock market?

No, I love America and I see the man who encouraged his followers to desecrate our nation by storming our capitol, and despise him for it. I have no love for any politician who abuses their office to enrich themselves, be it Nancy Pelosi insider training or Trump selling access.

I think it’s as embarrassing that Jasmine Crockett is in a position of power as it is that Tommy Tuberville is.

But it’s sad that so many people can’t think critically and simply slobber when the D or R bell is rung.

I remember what a big deal the bicentennial was. It came right after Watergate and Vietnam - and yet Americans came together for it. The cult is what is different now.
Or maybe, just maybe it’s because the Grifter in Chief decided to make it all about his own self-aggrandizement.

Ah but yes, anyone who opposes your “dear leader” obviously only does so because they have “tds”…or are “lib-tards” that hate America, right?

Remember how Hunter Biden was so terrible when he was on the board of some Ukrainian company and made millions while his dad was VP? Your boy Trump made $2 billion last year grifting while he was president. Trump hasn’t drained the swamp, he’s turned it into a cesspool.

If you’re going to make the argument, then do it right!!!

Wondering if the delay in announcing charges indicates there might not be any. I assume they have all the video shown here and more. Just can't imagine what else they would be waiting for to announce charges or self defense.

Wouldn’t they take this case to a grand jury first?

Ya don’t say…

Grifter in Chief

Not to mention the $300 billion he’s sending to Iran.

No Smokey & The Bandit.

List is BS

It’s a working class establishment. Would qualify as a “dive bar” but by no means a rough crowd. Seems like at least one of the four TVs is always on Fox/Newsmax/NewsNation or some other “conservative” channel.

It is near a busy street with two grocery stores, and a truck stop nearby. The sellers aren’t patrons, just folks that pass through.

That's what he'll say and maybe it's true. But why even jump in front of the car? To save the diapers? I think that could have been done smarter but he's a local cop in Mississippi.

Last week, everyone laughed at “self
defense” when the story was “even IF (very big if) one kid pushed another, it didn’t justify the guy stabbing and murdering someone! He could and should have just walked away.

Hopefully there is clear video showing the cop had no choice but to shoot to save his life.

Retail theft is out of control, no doubt, and a problem that needs to be solved. And I fully believe that it is an epidemic because of people who are uncivilized and have no respect for the law.* At the same time, as a civilized person who does respect the law, I don’t think lethal force is justified solely for theft.

* and before we make it a black/white issues, every time I’m at my local watering hole, I see at least 2 and usually more white folks who come in selling meat …that are either using food stamps to buy it and resell, or who are more than likely just shoplifting it. There’s also a few who regularly come by with power tools, flashlights and other gadgets, shoes and so forth that they’re likely pilfering from
The near by truck stop. This is an epidemic.
The thermos.

It keeps hot stuff hot, and cold stuff cold.

How do it know?!!!

Yeah, well, but Obama sent them $400 million in cash!
