It absolutely happens a lot. There are tons of couples that never got legally married so the wife can stay home and get gov benefits bc she’s legally a “single mom”. When in fact her de facto husband works a good job.
Being “legally married” has nothing to do with it, at least as far as food stamps go, because you can’t separate a parent from a child under the age of 22 in the same household.
They either lie that the man isn’t there “but he pays the mortgage and utilities instead of child support” or the woman claims that she and the kids live somewhere else.

We did this because the WR was getting into it with a CB. Staff decided to try and sub him out but it didn’t happen in time.
This is what happened. You can see Nuss was trying to run hurry up, but #6’s jawing allowed Vandy to sub.
He cost LSU 4 points and a timeout.

Folks had farm in Stone Co, Arkansas from the mid 70s until 2009. Can’t tell you how many times place was broken into, but it was quite often.
Deion gets a bad rap for the Prime Time character he created/plays. Guy was a legit 2-sport professional athlete and one of the greatest CB ever.

For some reason, this immediately brought to mind the old Carlin bit where he talks about replacing the word “kill” with the word “f—-“ in all the old western movies….

Eh, I kinda think the opposite is true. As a younger person, when you see him (Michael Douglas) as the main character of the movie you think he’s cool and the hero of the film.
Rewatching it years later, you may empathize with him (Douglas) but you see things more from Robert Duvall’s pov.
Edited for p/a

it's the same as last time he was in office. it was the worst turn in the drilling industry ever. we had so many layoffs. you can't promote both lower energy costs and drill baby drill. the two are total opposites.
It’s almost as if he doesn’t really understand what’s going on, and just says whatever someone tells him that his audience wants to hear - knowing that he can later claim he didn’t say what he said. And his minions label it 6-D chess.
Or the Gumps who got an unwarranted do-over in 2011?

I also seem to recall one of the Huard boys had a long career as a backup with some starts sprinkled in

I really enjoyed it.. great premise.. i really like how the lead is a history teacher who throws in references to the founding fathers in context of an epic sci fi rebellion
The first season was highly promising. It was still entertaining in season 2 but slowly declined thereafter.
I’d throw this in with a long list of science fiction shows with a great premise that get bogged down into science “fantasy”.

Auburn has one of the worst cases of little man’s syndrome in existence.
