re: @ Kentucky October 10! Best time of the year for the Bourbon Trail!
Posted by tiger94gop on 12/12/25 at 8:16 am to Tdubs7
We did the game, Keenland, and Cincinnati in that trip. Did the Bourbon trail last summer. Just realize that many of the distilleries are an hour from each other, so it is hard to hit several in a day. Also, the barrel making tour was a good add to our trip as well.
We are probably going back, but as people on here have said; the game was horrible and their fans were really obnoxious for not having won anything in football ever. First stadium I have ever had a confrontation with an opposing fan because LSU's tickets stuck us in the middle of their fans. Bunch of fat fxxks.
We flew in to Louisville on Breeze out of NOLA and traveled and drove everywhere.

Yes, there are several forums and Youtube videos and other resources to show you exactly how to do a flush and to do it correctly. If he hasn't done it ever and the transmission has over 65k miles, it can be done and an additive added to the fluid to stop the shudder. If it is throwing codes, then that is another issue. Tacomas are known to have the torque converter shudder at 40 mph in all the Gen 2 and Gen 3 years. It may not have it, but it is a known problem. A flush is not recommended for an extremely high mileage transmission if you are just doing mtce. and the fluid has never been changed. However, if it is shuddering, it definitely will fix it when combined with the additive Lubeguard Shudder Fix.
Shudder Fix
I woul visit Tacoma Forums and look up the Tundra page for the procedure. They give you the shop spec sheets, details to do the job, materials, tools, etc.

What is it doing? Toyotas are sealed transmissions. If it is a shudder at 40 mph, that can be fixed with a full flush. Have you ever had the transmission flushed?

That was a totally stupid move. They take out Yellow Sophie but leave the three people calling the shots alone just to appease Sage who has to be an extremely miserable person in real life.
Who cares if Yellow Sophie voted out her alliance. Steven, Chritina, and YS should have told her who to vote for. While they still have the numbers, vote out Rizo or Savannah. How can you take a person on a reward, and he basically tells you what to do. Sage is a wild card and has always been one. Why not isolate her and feed her what she wants to hear. This was their chance to get out Savannah and now the three will vote together till the end. If Blue Sophie doesn't make a move, she will get no votes against Rizo and Savannah. They just gave the game to Rizo. I know its at a 1000 ft level, but how does Steven not see this and tell Sage to wait on Y Sophie. You take out Savannah or Rizo.

This picture pretty much validates what I said about how the challenge was tailor made for Savannah.

Him pushing for Chase and Tee Higgins getting paid instead of building a balanced team is why they are losers and he is hurt. Yoh only need one good reciever. All three tie up almost a 3rd of their cap. You don't think others notice not getting paid and probowlers geeting low balled.

Not to be that guy, but Savannah has short legs. Her legs were straight the whole time. I could do that for days, she was just wedged in. Sophie was the real cham there, her legs were bent and she had to account for her back, etc. It really wasn't a fair challenge. Maybe next time they adjust for leg lengths. You could see it with most of the men. The more bent your legs are the harder it is. Most weren't even sitting all the way against the wedge on the box. Pretty shitty challenge for the men and someone with long legs like Sage.
re: Switching from early morning to late evening for lifting?
Posted by tiger94gop on 11/21/25 at 7:52 am to StringedInstruments
As someone here said, find a different gym. I moved to a smaller gym, not as equally equipped, but it doesn't have shitty music and people. I know all the people at this gym, and it isn't hard to get on the equipment, I just adjust my workout to what is available.
The women hogging machines/stations are the worst ones. Some are trying to be serious lifters, but you don't need the all the racks to do but lifts when the gym has a machine. It also doesn't take 10 sets of 3. Only good thing, if it looks complicated or intimidating, they won't touch it.
I like to go in the evening right after work because I don't feel rushed and can add to my workout out if I feel the need. I would have to get up at 4:15 and be in bed for 8 to workout in the morning, take a shower and commute to work. I did it for 75hard and it just felt like I spent no time with my family and I was right back at work the next day. Like I never left my desk.

re: Is Verge being set up?
Posted by tiger94gop on 11/6/25 at 8:31 am to SlidellCajun
Verge was kept as AD to ensure that the BOS would vote for Rousse. All these people on here complaining about Landry, but everything that has been a "shite show" beyond Landry speaking out of turn has been on the old Regime of SW and the prior Governor's BOS appointees and President. It is politics. There is always compromise to get to the end result. This change is more than just about football, although it was the engine that started it all. All State Universities are political and doesn't take much research to find political dealing in all of them. In every state Universities are used to give out positions, contracts, and patronage. La in no more corrupt than the rest of the States (people just think that because of Long), but every State has corrupt politicians. If you don't believe that you are naive or ignorant of anywhere outside of LA.
People on here complaining about LSU and the lower standards, shootings on Campus, and spending on DEI positions, shouldn't be complaining about what is happening. We need Rousse to make the needed changes at LSU to make a true flagship. LA has not shown the political will to close colleges, so let the others take the lower tier students and professors and let them give out the Women's studies degrees. This is an opportunity to hopefully improve LSU for the better. To acquire the areas around campus and to preserve the history of LSU by not changing the names of buildings because today's students and professors don't understand LSU's history and the context of when things occurred.
Verge should have been fired with SW. However, if the new President wants to flex his muscles against the BOS which will be changing again shortly, Verge will need to understand if he wants to retain his position.
The man has been there days. Let him come in and make his changes. The BOS won't fire him if he pushes Verge to the side. There are changes coming and I hope they meet all the promises.
Verge should be happy to keep his job and LSU will be better served when James Williams and Collis Temple are no longer on the BOS. Not that Carmouche is much better, but it wouldn't be hard to be better than the majority of JBE's appointments.

Posted by tiger94gop on 11/5/25 at 8:53 am to TigerChief94
Verge was a political hire. In order to get Rousse approved, to get the remaining JBE people on the BOS to approve Rousse, you keep Verge. If anything, Verge should have been pushed out with SW. This is politics pure and simple.
Anyone could use the same formula SW used to get a Coach, and SW assistants were running everything but football. So, if they get innovative with a young coach for 1/2 the money and 1/2 the years, it is no worse than SW.
I really hope Rousse can bring the needed changes to LSU. Get the JBE people out and reverse a lot of the disturbing trends happening there. I am willing to take Verge to get that done. I just hope they use some input from the outside to make the football hire.

First of all you are an idiot.
LA has not bedn controlled by the GOP until recently. Thd majority of its existance it has been Democrat controlled and many of thd older Republicans in the legislature are former Dems.
Every state college in every state is political. Especially the flagship. So this goes on at all State Universities, its just public because it is the SEC and football.
Just look at TX, there was a ton of in fighting when Ann Richards a Baylkr grad wanted to make sure Baylor was part of the Big 12. She was a democrat.
Look at Alabama fighting over financing sports at UAB. Bryant Jr and all his political manuvers.
It is just being pushed because of the SEC and ESPN needing content. This will blow over with a new hire.
If anything you can't look at JBE and his cronies on the BOS and the contracts to J Bernhard, Collis Temple, the no football without new taxes and the race stuff, and not say we have just moved from a very political time at LSU. This is relative.

You could have achieved the same results as BK with 1/2 the money and 1/2 the years. Other programs brought in Coordinators, you didn't need the biggest name with the biggest contract. It's a risk, but it's a far less risk than the BK situation. You bring in a coach from a school that his bias built in, doesn't play in a conference, and from all indications had a poor relationship with his players. SW also misunderstood NIL.
re: John Carmouche: "the taxpayer has never paid for a coach and never will"

Whose being silly when you agreed with my argument. As I said they are both making disingenuous statements which you don't seem to understand.
With your own quote, Landry is right, the "State" meaning LSU is liable for the buyout. I guess you are hung up on me using the word donations.
Carmouche is right as well when he says the State isn't paying the buyout. However, if BK gets any money from an LSU account, he is wrong.
It is a 1,000 ft view of it, but as I said they are both making statements that aren't explaining the whole situation, regardless of the origins of the funds.
quote:
The LSU athletic department is a self-sufficient business that is “owned” by the state via LSU and the BOS.

quote:
If every bit of donor money dried up, the LSU athletic department would have to cover it. Not the state. That’s the point.
LSU's Athletic Department is part of LSU; correct? So, BK is a State Employee correct? As I said LSU since it is the "State" University, it gets it's funding from the "State". As I said if donations dried up the State would be liable for his buyout. LSU's money, which is technically the States money, would be paid towards the buyout. We know that won't happen, but as I said; once the money is in LSU's coffers it is the States money.
TAF pays him as well, but w/o TAF who pays BK?
As I seaid, they are both saying things that aren't quite true.
re: John Carmouche: "the taxpayer has never paid for a coach and never will"

Landry is technically right.
BK was the highest paid employee of the State. He was not paid individually by TAF, part of his contract is paid by LSU. That is why the BOS has to approve it.
Even if donations to athletics cover it, technically once donated it is LSU's money. So, If every bit of Donor money dried up. LSU (State of LA) would still have to pay the buyout.
Everyone is playing semantics here. Carmouche is being disingenuous as well.
