Godfathers was the best 80s pizza. But it was too expensive for my parents. We pretty much stuck to Dominos which was decent back then before it turned to shite.

Had one close to campus during the broke college years, destroyed the buffet at least twice a week.

It was glorious

They need to go back to using fresh dough and not the frozen discs. Once they made that switch, it was all downhill. They chose to sacrifice quality for profits and it hasn't worked out well.

This. It’s funny to think back how excited I got over going to Pizza Hut or dad bringing home a bucket of KFC for dinner about once a month.

It was a huge deal if we had to go to Jackson for something and would eat at Red Lobster or Olive Garden. They were next door to each other and I always fought with my sister cause she wanted RL but I preferred OG. Usually ended up my dad and sister would be at RL and my mom and I would go to OG

the wife and I graduated from State in the early 90s and moved to Jxn in 95, we ate at that OG several times. Good times.

As kids, we ate out so rarely, each time was a special occasion.

I had the cheesecake pizza and the chocolate chip cookie pizza from Pizza Inn as my birthday cake when I was 9.

Saving those calories for your boyfriend's jizz?
The only "men" who worry about calories like you are homosexuals. 100% of the time.

Holding back the years...

There were so many good things about the 80s. One of those rare times that we knew it was good.

but I fear society is becoming addicted to nostalgia in a bad way.

I don’t think it’s any worse than our parents and grandparents remembering the good ol’ days. We just have social media to fuel it a bit more.

Nostalgia is all fun and games but Pizza Slut doesn't make pizza the way they used to. They used to have actual pizza people rolling out dough, making your pie, and tossing that ish in the oven. It was a trained and skilled position to work there because they were actual pizza joints.

Yellow Wendy’s with Biggie size was GOAT

They were by far the best fast food burger then. I’d get the triple and the paper sack would be soaked in grease

Have fun paying $40+ for two large pizzas.

I support buying local but locally owned pizza companies can get fricked with their prices.

Bring back the Bigfoot. And the lunch buffett...

Imagine one of those KFC Taco Huts with a buffet.

Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut on one buffet. My arteries are clogging and Diabetes is intensifying as I think about it.
