I’ve dealt with depression for over a decade. Today was a particularly bad day, but the sun will rise tomorrow I suppose. Some awesome posters on here are helpful and life experiences to back it up.

Some of the responses on here are exactly why men don’t feel like opening up. Living a life of misery in secret or pretending all is well is a disaster for the long term.

Afternoon starts and diluted playoff pool are part of it, but it’s a spoiled fanbase as well.

Stands were crazy empty when the team sucked. I get it, they were tanking, but the highs and lows for Houston are more than many other places. As soon as the team starts contending, everyone in my neck of the woods was suddenly die hard for 30 years. We had the celeb fans with the long mustache and the old couple dressed as astronauts. As someone who lives in Astros territory, I can confirm that they aren’t any more loyal than any average team.

The Rockies have been absolute shite for a while, and their attendance is still respectable.

They were fine. Verne was a legend in the booth, but he was up in age and struggled a bit towards the end.

I never took his “oh no!” call in the 2011 LSU-Bama game to be some Tide homerism. I think he was just stunned that Reid ended up with it. I am pretty sure in the 2007 LSU-Bama game he called our QB “Quinn” and D Byrd became “Boyd.” Fun times…
