Grok says the Jerry Lewis Cinema opened up 11/4/1970. One of the first in the South. By 1973 they added two more screens and by then it was known as the University Cinema, also called University Cinema 4. I was excited waiting for the one to be built in Drusilla, as I lived in Westminster then and would have LOVED to walk to a movie theater.

Shocked I remember it really, since I was only 10 at the time. Might have seen it on a trip to Der Weinersnitzle (sp?) that was right across from where the Ra Shop is, give or take a half block or so.

Closed in 1995. I can’t remember what movies I saw there, tho.

Fast Track was in its own building. I LOVED those Bon Temps burgers, or whatever they were called. The hot ones. It was also a Dairy Queen, lol.

I’m getting a MacBook Air, as soon as I wear my wife down enough to the idea to agree with getting one.

I told an employee to go home when he would not stop drinking Dr Tichner’s at work. Screamed at me, got up in my face screaming that “the doctor” told him to “swish his mouth out with it because of a bad tooth.” I was patient, told him we needed a Doctor’s note (had already told HR about him drinking that shite) and trying to get him to HR. I was ready for fists to come at me and I was prepared. He stormed out and was fired over the phone by HR. Left me shaken.

Just think, a remake would have a black girlboss, gender-fluid thing, a white girl, a Hispanic boy, a Muslim boy, a mixed race boy (with a crush on the Muslim boy), and the bullies and killer and unpleasant people would be white.

Where my boy at? Dude brought quality rabbit holes to the table.

Back in the day, when the 486 workhorses gave way to the faster Pentiums, sometimes the improvements were marginal.

“Intel giveth and Microsoft taketh away” was the resigned sigh of defeat. That’s why Linux started getting popular. Microsoft wrote shite code that piggybacked on DOS, and all kinds of parasitic code ran in the background like an insect hive. Still does, really. You learned how to shut some down and customize your Windoze experience, but they gradually just closed those doors and fricked the users by boxing them into their world of rampant code strings.

Had to unplug, let it sit, then start it up again. Still holds true.

Robert’s Rebellion would be great, but they seriously need to make characters likable and relatable in a cold, cruel world. The characters pulled you in, too. Robert’s Rebellion should not focus on a young Ned Stark or Billy Bob Baratheon.
Certainly the situations and the deaths that lead up to Jon’s birth, but maybe too throw in a twin, Meera, who Howland Reed maybe took.
Characters have to be likable, like Dunk, Egg, and Rheanara’s dad. I don’t like any of the HotD characters, really.

As far as evil beyond the wall, there should always be some new evil to fight. There are many directions and stories that could be told. Essos would be great for Arya
