Aw slowpro you forgot to post the remaining reason why prices slightly decreased. Try cherry picking again and we will call you out again.

National rent prices saw an overall decrease over the course of 2023 and 2024. While they remained historically high, a surge in new apartment construction caused year-over-year rent growth to turn negative, leading to consistent monthly declines and softening prices

We have had 1.5 years of mass deportations, detentions, and self-deportations. Have we seen a correlative drop in housing prices?

In case you haven't noticed we have only deported a small portion of the Biden open border illegal aliens that entered our country without proper vetting. Had blue haired white liberals gotten out of the way and not impeded ICE from doing their federally mandated jobs, we would have gotten many more illegals out of here. But the border policies of Biden-Harris(what a joke Border Czar) let them in much faster than they can be removed. Additionally we have only had 18 months of restoration of law and order in this Trump administration at this time. So let's all enjoy increased prices on food, fuel and housing.

The housing crash took place because insurance companies and local governments sought massive incomes over rising real estate escalations. Not only was the house worth more, but everyone else wanted a piece of the action.

In October each year, your mortgage provider gives you a rundown over your end of the year escrow balance. Suddenly it wasn’t a normal payment, but a demand for several thousand and a default notice for failure to comply. The failure of the Democrat scheme meant to put families into homes they afford failed. Your 500,000 beach house valued at 2 million went into default.

Everyone got hurt, owners, insurance companies and banks.

Much simpler than this.

Take out your old notebook, look at what a 2x4 cost a Home Depot cost before the basement dweller took over.

Go back to the store today, compare prices.

Oil prices, EPA over reach closing regrowth forest harvesting. Shipping from out of the country.EPA requirements increasing the price of HVAC, lighting, cooking, water.

It isn’t just taco benders….the Democrats had a lot to do in this.

I would like to add that you can't work on anything anymore.

I am remodeling a rental property, and I know how to wire a house, so I told the city I would be doing the wiring myself. They told me that if I flip or rent, I cannot do that. My choices are to either live in the property or have an electrician’s license.

Keep in mind, the city has to inspect the work before allowing the power to be turned back on, regardless of who wires it. So I asked them what the point of the inspection is if a licensed electrician is required anyway, since a licensed electrician knows the code.

They seemed confused, so I told them that if their job is to inspect the work and ensure it is up to code, then I should be allowed to wire it myself. Otherwise, the inspection seems pointless if I am forced to use a licensed electrician and their job is a waste of taxpayer money. I got the permit after many phone calls and pressing the issue.

The new law about roofing is only going to make costs rise even more dramatically here.

You don't understand the totality of the argument if you think that somehow opposes my point

You're showing an example of a variable with a much greater impact on the market than illegals. So many of these variables have been posted that there isn't enough room for illegals to be 30%, given we only have 100% to work with.

For half of U.S. counties, the increase in rents from June 2023 to June 2024 was the smallest rent change in more than three years. And nearly three-quarters of counties saw a smaller increase than the year before.

The long-awaited slowdown comes as more new homes are finishing construction and finally hitting the market. But it also coincides with a presidential election campaign where housing costs dominate many Americans’ budgets and are souring people’s moods on an otherwise strong economy.

This is why Big Corporations are pro immigration to the extreme. Cheap labor and higher prices.

I think Trump has effectively shut down the border for the scale of the numbers involved in this conversation.

How many have been sent back that attributed to the rise in cost seen in Biden’s years?

It doesn't mention the massive influx in foreign workers via visas that are getting low interest mortgages we can't get.

Yes exactly like that… it was stupid as hell to keep rates that low for that long, but it predates Biden by a good bit… try tail end of Obama, beginning of Trump… that fiasco lands at the feet of ALL of them
