re: The mystery of skyrocketing home prices has been solved

We have had 1.5 years of mass deportations, detentions, and self-deportations. Have we seen a correlative drop in housing prices?
In case you haven't noticed we have only deported a small portion of the Biden open border illegal aliens that entered our country without proper vetting. Had blue haired white liberals gotten out of the way and not impeded ICE from doing their federally mandated jobs, we would have gotten many more illegals out of here. But the border policies of Biden-Harris(what a joke Border Czar) let them in much faster than they can be removed. Additionally we have only had 18 months of restoration of law and order in this Trump administration at this time. So let's all enjoy increased prices on food, fuel and housing.

That font looks like a clown newsletter mast head IMO. Much prefer GEAUX font, and besides someone in the AD authorized that to the tune of $250K fee to rebrand the whole marketing materials.

I remember when one end zone was LSU in p&g and the opponent's was painted and marked on the other...I liked that
I remember those well and used to look forward to busting out of the dark walkway into the bright lights of the field and see that glorious combination of green grass, bright stadium lights, and purple/gold and the opponents' colors. To a kid it was amazing!
But why give publicity to the opponent when national TV time is so precious to continually present "The Brand" to national audiences and potential recruits. Let them only see purple and gold!

Agree with everything else you said about Gavin. Great kid, great baseball player and started pitching at LSU to get on the field more quickly. I always thought he would go back to INF but he didn't.
But don't undersell his pitching potential coming out of HS as he was 8-0 for Barbe against very good competition. Had an ERA almost ZERO and was dominant. Also was Gatorade POY in Louisiana his SR year, partly for his pitching accomplishments.
Only love for GG from here as I have loved seeing him play for LSU and he is indeed P&G to the core.

I don't think most people on this board remember how raw both Shaq and Stanley were their freshman seasons. It took awhile for both to hone their skills.
Stanley came to LSU much more skilled offensively than did Shaq. Shaq was very aweward and gangly but could block shots and rebound, even though bigger, stronger guys could push him around.
Stanley couldn't stay out of foul trouble and had trouble making good decisions & wouldn't work hard on the defensive end.
\Chris Jackson was the most fun to watch since The Pistol, His ability to elevate & shoot before a defender could get to the same height was unreal and he took over games many times.
Fun group to watch but as always with Dale teams, they didn't understand how to use the rules to their advantage and were fundamentally inadequate. Very frustrating.

Makes a huge difference to real hitters who know the zone and are disciplined. On the other hand, to indiscriminant free swingers it does not make much difference.

Would love it if they would not have widened the plate zone by 2" and extended the zone high and low by about 5% on each. So the challenge zone is not the real zone and therefore favors the pitchers.
Therefore, there was NO REASON for Arrambide to ask for a review that wasn't going to be overturned to a strike when the zone is so big. Wasted a challenge.

re: We play like a bad little league team
Posted by LongTime Tiger on 5/19/26 at 10:49 pm to TheEye
Been saying that all year. Little mistakes on D. Little mistakes at bat and on bases. We allow a few extra runs and miss picking up a couple runs and end up losing by 3. Or maybe it happens in 4-5 innings and we get run ruled. Happens over and over this season.

or anyone that downvotes is part of the problem!
I am NOT part of the problem! I did not walk a single batter, hit any, or throw any wild pitches. Additionally, I am not guilty of striking out or popping up weakly when runners were RISP. Similarly, Jay did not commit any of these mistakes that killed this team all season.
He signed transfer portal kids who either were not talented anough to play to our expected level (Jay's faulty) or simply could not perform under the bright lights of top level NCAA baseball (not Jay's fault)!
I am almost certain that Jay could coach at LSU for an additonal 20 years and not ever have a team that performed so poorly as this one.

You are correct but it took much more time than just 2 weeks prior to CWS.
In 2025, the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS) took place from June 13 to June 22, 2025. The primary NCAA Division I baseball transfer portal window. for that season was open for 30 days from June 2 to July 1, 2025.

Got a Benjamin that we will NOT be having this discussion next year, that poor pitching kept the 2027 team from making a Regional or even being a high seed.

You stated that no one throws "that hard " on this team. This was aggregated early in the season
I think I remember that Paz, Sheerin, and Evans all hit 98 later in the season. Pleanty of velo on this team but control and especially location is non-existent.
But these guys didn't walk/hit this many batters when they were at previous school or high school or Jay would not have signed them. So what happened from then to now? Bad pitching coashing? Or is it that the bright lights cause mental and mechanical mistakes, that they just can't play in these high leverage situations.
quote:
Based on reports from early 2026, here is the velocity profile for key LSU pitchers:
Mavrick Rizy: Reaches near 100 mph with his fastball.
Grant Fontenot: Has seen a significant jump, with his fastball now reaching up to 98 mph.
Cooper Moore: His fastball consistently touches 96 mph.
Marcos Paz: Sits between 93–95 mph and has touched 96 mph
.Deven Sheerin: Features a heavy fastball that sits in the mid-90s.
Jaden Noot: Works primarily with a mid-90s fastball.
Casan Evans: Known for a high-velocity profile, typically sitting in the 93–95 mph range.

He did take the blame and admitted he screwed up taking those guys in the portal. Where did he put blame on anyone else??? I think it takes a lot for coaches to step up and say they fricked up.
I agree.
Suffering through this season but certainly no more than Jay and the team But after.a terrible football season, miserable men's bb, less than celebratory women's bball, I think most of us were thinking that baseball would get us in a good mood again.
Glad that Jay is the kind of guy who steps up and takes the blame and says "I will fix it". I can only imagine who PM would be blaming if he was coaching this team. I wouldn't be able to watch that presser, as I couldn't watch many of them his final year.
Trust Jay to get this right for next year.

Its not that they're ga fans, its that every ball leaving a ga players bat is "cranked" "smoked" etc, and they arent getting to the warning track
Exactly! PBP guy just called Milam out at 3B before the ball even got there.
Really bad.
I understand being the home team announcers but they need to understand this is a nationally available broadcast and they make it sound like it's on the UGA campus radio frequency called by broadcast undergraduates.
Lyn and Rantz tell LSU stories because that's what the know, and so do these guys but they are def better than Bulldog Mutt & Jeff. And Lyn along with Ben are really good.
re: Cannot play like this and beat good teams like GA
Posted by LongTime Tiger on 5/8/26 at 7:41 pm to pitchandcatch27
Small mistakes cost us a run or two here. Then we make another one that gives up an extra run. Pretty soon it amounts to 4-5 run difference and we lose by 3. Same story all season except against USC and Tulane.

Stupid 2nd baseman should have let RF catch it
But the homer announcers said the 2nd baseman "made a great athletic catch over the shoulder and spun to make a quick throw"
Failed to say 1)the throw was 6 feet off target and 2)Patrick might be the fastest player on the field so it would have had to be a perfect throw to get him.
Announcers have love for The Box and keep saying 'you never count out LSU" but have no knowledge of LSU players other than flashing the stats on teh screen.
Lazy hometown crap broadcasting

Imagine being an old man that’s enamored with college kids acne that they go on a message board and make a post about it.
First, check the definition of enamored! Don't see any "love" or even fascination in that post.
And second, this is a message board filled with comments. Some of us think there might be some people on this board that have some information and/or intelligence about a subjec that we have observed, or we have an opinion on without facts.
Really tired of the smartass posters, probably from Momma's couch or in an apartment that she is paying for, that think they know it all and everyone else is a retard. Some of us have some real life experience instead of just watching YouTube or following on a social thread, and think that a knowledgeable, fact or experience based comment or opinion would be worth our read.
