SFP, the libertarian, has previously criticized the deportation effort on this site by saying that we shouldnt be putting as much deportation effort into blue areas. now he is trying to convince people that deportations in 1.5 years quantitatively cancel the 10s of millions of illegals allowed ‘21-‘25.
My plan would deport more people with less cost (political and otherwise).
What's your problem with that outcome?

Did I ask that question? No.

We have had 1.5 years of mass deportations, detentions, and self-deportations. Have we seen a correlative drop in housing prices?
Have housing prices went up 100% in that time like they were doing before?
Don't answer that, I don't want to increase your post count with another wrong answer.

Housing prices went up 100%? What timeframe are you using?

You mean adding 20millions people significantly reduced housing supply causing logical increase in prices?!?
You don’t say!

If you don't know why, you're showing you're not capable of productively participating in this conversation. It's not complicated (and has been referentially explained ITT).

I wasn't even deflecting.

Ah, the truth that 70% of this country doesn't want to admit is indeed the truth.

What mystery? …. I thought this was common knowledge by now ….

More people=more gdp=more gooder
At least that's what astute libertarians tell me

You forgot: cutting/eliminating welfare programs like section 8, fuel subsidies, WIC, food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.
That's a necessary component for that to work.

What percentage of total home purchases in the USA are from illegal immigrants?
Posted on 7/6/26 at 7:08 am to SlowFlowPro
Nope. The reason is also based on the increased costs of materials to build a house, just to satisfy fictitious global warming nonsense.

There are many reasons, interest rates and printing trillions being the 2 biggest. Illegals played a role in the increase in that time period, but I reckon an actual academic-scientific analysis will put the impact way lower than 30%.
Posted on 7/6/26 at 7:18 am to hubertcumberdale
Illegals don't have to buy homes to effect pricing. Renting creates the same upward pressure on availability.
Posted on 7/6/26 at 7:19 am to Darth_Vader
In BR, I blame some realtor and builder greed coupled with consumer ignorance.

And rent went down in 2023 and 2024, while home prices are lagging in the decline, which doesn't make sense if illegals caused 20% of the rental increase and 30% of the home purchase increase.

Housing price inflation is lower now than under Biden.
