The Jeep rubber ducky thing..

I've been aware that Jeep people ride around with a shitload of rubber ducks on their dash for quite some time. I've never bothered to try to find out the rhyme or reason for it. I just wrote them off as weirdos. However, yesterday Hertz gave me a Jeep Rubicon as a rental because they were out of trucks. This morning I go to get the thing from the hotel parking garage and on the door handle sits a yellow rubber duck. Is this how the weird Jeep people acquire thier rubber ducks? Was the weirdo Jeeper hiding and watching me to see what I do with it? Speaking of, what do I do with it? Do I invoke the murderous ghost of John Willys if I throw it out? So many questions..

yeah very strange. we had one as a rental once too. same thing with the ducks, and also the waves. very goofy if you ask me. i did not partake.

Had a grand Cherokee with ton of issues (shocking I know). All covered under warranty and every time I brought it in for service at checkout they would give me another duck. My daughter has a crap ton of them in her room now

My daughters loved putting ducks on other jeeps and had fun with it. It’s nowhere near as weird as what yall try to make it out to be. But lifting your trucks and having truck nuts isn’t cringe lol
