I don’t see anything popping tomorrow. Maybe a slight increase, but there is so much uncertainty that it will be months before anything can become concrete. Even if a US backed government gets installed.

On re-starting production, those facilities have been so mismanaged for so long it will take a while to get any meaningful increase in production.

Chevron still has operations in there and can easily ramp back up
Yea, this bold saying we will run the country in the meantime. I really hope that there are plans and groundwork in place and ready to roll out
I think we can help persuade Hezbollah

US military build-up in the Caribbean

The arrival of the USS Gerald R. Ford gives the US Joint Task Force established in the region the option to launch a high volume of attacks against land targets, should Trump give the order. According to media reports, there are now 15,000 troops in the region, including marines on ships and some 5,000 personnel at bases in Puerto Rico.

Hope it’s true, but I would need to see this to believe it. If he does truly make that change then great, and we should all support them but I am certainly not flocking to cbs just yet. I’ll keep an ear to the ground and see if this guy reports differently though.
Jimmy Carter sanctioned that entire regime.

I don’t disagree, but the situation in Venezuela is unique. There is already another leader that probably more than half the population believe is the true leader. The question will be how will the Venezuela military react and will the current leadership step down. Hopefully having an entire fleet off their coast gives the military enough of a scare to walk away and also give the public confidence that we aren’t going anywhere and are willing to have their back

I have met many ex-middle class Venezuelans over the years and they are amazing people, who would love to go back to their country. Some do go on visits, but they don’t bring their kids because it’s to dangerous. Maybe this will be the beginning of the end of this nightmare they have lived.

This and led him on pretty well too. Until she saw him and was like uhh, at that point she makes her choice in not leaving. That first time she felt he wasn’t good enough she did nothing to let him know it wasn’t happening. So, he didn’t stop. Creepy, probably especially after she told him no 3 times to anal, but it doesn’t sound at all like she resisted normal sex.

NIL is good for the game

NIL in concept is not bad for the game, the problem is there are zero boundaries and the current state is not sustainable. These college players have more control than any professional player or any other player in any league. There has to be some sort of contract or true commitment and not this leave after year.

Did you miss the part where I was saying it took my arse years to distill the stuff I did type up?

I think you need to spend a few more years looking at basic geoscience principles and geologic data rather than these sources you have provided. If you had some fundamental understanding then you could better critique these ideas.

Will this affect crawfish prices?

Maybe the extra solar radiation will yield a larger species, which will certainly raise the price.
Sorry bud, but there is zero evidence the Earths axis has significantly changed throughout the earth history. A wobble? Sure, but that is minor. On the flip side we have extensive evidence that the magnetic poles have switched over geologic time, which will have some impacts - mainly in our electronics and gps signals.

I could buy a conspiracy theory that we do not fully understand what these impacts would be to our electrical grids and satellite way of life, but to suggest the west coast will become a pole is ludicrous.

Alan Alda
Clint Eastwood
Nancy Pelosi

Don’t expect Bruce Willis to make it, but not putting him in as it seems too easy

MVB regressed this year and I would expect him to be elevated with Lane; however I agree with most others that there are better options in the portal. Would love to see him stay and try to win the job and be a quality backup. We need him to stay and get two other QBs from the portal, the lack of qb recruiting by the previous coaches is unreal.
I know we like to shite on Ole Miss for taking LSU’s coaches, but I think none of us understand the absolute disaster that BK and Sloan were. I do think Austin Thomas and his staff were more than capable and these are pretty good hires for Ole Miss, am I worried about them, no as I have full trust in Kiffin and his off field staff to be at worse equal to and likely more capable than what we had in the past three years.
Then don’t watch. The issue is football fans don’t care enough to not watch the sport. If they did then this would have stoppped, but they don’t. They watch, go to games, and spend a fortune in (merchandise, sports betting, fantasy football). Those go away and so does the wokeness
Was just thinking about this thread and yearly tradition. Always fun staying up late with the other late night builders.

Tonight I have nothing to put together, wife in the bedroom wrapping everything and sitting on the couch watching Die Hard. Going to have to figure out how to get the middle one off the Xbox at some point and the high schooler is in his room but I suspect he will want some sort of late night snack.

We will see how we can get the presents under the tree at a reasonable hour

And this is why you can never bet these bowl games. Just wild
We will be in Baton Rouge for Christmas and need to get a long run in on the 27th. Does varsity sports have any planned runs that weekend? I need 11 miles and the wife needs to get in 17. Other than the levy or multiple loops around campus I am not sure where to get these in
I really don’t care what suburban mom thinks. Most them are the cause of our problems right now anyway

I thank Gawd every day that Im Catholic

We’ll hate to bust your bubble but the Catholic Church will often times host seminars and talks with national Catholic guests for a fee. May not be as high and entry cost or be as elaborate with flying entertainers but to say that they do not utilize their spaces for paid events is not accurate.

I tend to agree with others in this that they are using their church space to host an event that ultimately helps them raise funds. Would I attend, no but these churches are not blessed and sacred places of worship that house Saint relics or the Body of Christ as a Catholic Church does and I do not see them as desecrating the building even if they did. They are buildings that can be used as they please.
