Let’s light that fire under this team and get this game going
What is surprising to me is just how much faster they look. Maybe they are just quicker than we are and that is why they are better.

They came out angry and we did not plan for this
It’s the losing every 50/50 ball and inability to clear the ball on defense. It can be cleaned up, but they dug a massive hole
Moment looks to big for them, they don’t look loose

I agree with this, but money and scale could be a factor. If they could get this right and generate TV deals then you will have the incentive. But in this country ad revenue and TV deals determine who wins and who loses. The product also has to be compelling.

I would love to see a true US Soccer tradition begin that can incorporate a relegation style league that has training camps and teams all over the country building the game and getting kids excited to play. Basketball has a vibrant AAU circuit, baseball has World Series tournaments every weekend, football has the university system pumping out prospects.

Soccer has dads who coach their kids because the team didn’t have a coach.
England played the game that was necessary to win. They had the talent to stick to their plan and capitalize when they could. Say what you will about elevation, smog, crowd, whatever but Mexico’s record in that place is incredible and it took a well executed game plan to win. England did those things and got the job done.
Just want to say again: frick Mexico and good riddance
There were shenanigans, but the game was really good
Less than it could have been
Mexican going to fast counter if this stays in bounds
England needs a goal kick, can’t buy a chance to waste time
This one is bullshite, Mexican player kicked into kane
Going to be 30 min of ET with all this bitching
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I don't know the exact rule of a red card, but he was making a play on the ball and it didn't look malicious.

Point your toe and don’t show the cleats, that’s the difference, a cleat to the leg is dangerous which is why it’s red.
Slide and take the leg out is fine, but you can’t have your cleats high and into the leg. Terrible play
Best Mexico has looked in a very long time, but you knew they would lay everything out tonight. England is in a dogfight and will need to score a few more to win this one
