I drove a jeep wrangler from 2001-2007. The rubber duck thing was not a thing.

The 2 finger jeep wave definitely was a thing.

Someone put a camo duck on my passenger seat in my Jeep (1945 Military USMC) one time. No other ducks ever.

I leave rubbers on jeeps when I see them and not the duck kind.

Then why do I see so many Subaru's in some markets? Are they that big of a market they can dominate two brands?

In snow-prone climates, Subarus are very capable AWD vehicles and reliable.

When I see a poorly tricked out jeep with hundreds of ducks on the dash, They are buying them on Amazon or Temu.

If someone puts a duck on the throw it across the parking lot...unless you have a problem with littering, then toss it in the garbage can before anyone sees you with it.

I was in Missouri for work and got a Rubicon as my rental car. I stopped at a restaurant to meet a coworker before heading to inspect a site. As soon as I got out of the truck some young kid walked up and handed me a rubber duck. I told him sorry buddy but this is a rental but he insisted. Didn’t wanted to be a dick so I just threw it in the console once he had walked away. Just seems weird someone hanging out in the parking lot waiting to hand out a rubber duck but it is what it is.

I’m honestly not sure which is cringier - the Jeep duck thing or the irrational over the top hatred of the Jeep duck thing.

And almost as cringy as using the word cringe in place of the word cringy. Both are gay.

I think the person was having a bad day and snapped at AP. AP went into the gas station and bought some rubber ducks as a " hope your day gets better" and left one on the lady's jeep. AP doesn't get a cut of the sales and Jeep has trademarked it.

The Fat Electrician’s QUACKBANG GRENADE is the only acceptable Rubber Duck dashboard ornament.

When we restore my old Cherokee Sport one will grace the dash. Just one though.

I got a jeep when we moved to beautiful northern Az. I’ve owned a few Grand Cherokees when I lived in La. The rubber duck thing doesn’t bother me either way - I’ve gotten quite a few and I soon give them away. I have a LSU sticker and a GXTGERS lisc plate so the latest duck I got was a purple and gold duck - which I kept.
I honestly don’t understand why people care either way, I have much bigger things to worry about. To each their own I guess.

I agree

That’s the part I find funny. You don’t have to like them. You don’t have to participate. But getting genuinely irritated because somebody else has ducks on their dashboard?

I’d save that emotional energy for something a little more consequential.

yeah. personally, i think it's dumb. but when someone puts one on my Jeep, i by no means see red and fling the duck across the parking lot in a rage like some people here claim they do. why would that possibly make someone so angry? and why do the non Jeep drivers seem to take it so personally that someone else has a bunch of stupid ducks on their dash?

if i get one, i just take it as it's meant - someone liked my Jeep, which is a nice thing. then i throw the duck in the console and forget about it until i clean out my console.
