1st time I watched the beginning of the video, I didn’t know it was lab until I rewatched it. It all happened so quick.
Cop had little time to make the call. Dog charges aggressively. On dog owner.
And I have a 2 year old lab mix.

I have answered more animal complaint calls that would equal more years than you have been alive.
Do you wait until it latches into you and pulls you down and/or severs a main artery before you make a decision? Mine was to go home. And guess what? I am here. frick that dog.
You dont know what you would do.
I have been around dogs my whole 50yrs of life and helped officers as I was never a dog handler but helped where I could.
Put on the shoes then tell your story.

the people that kicked him out of the bar watched him get in his truck and drive down the wrong side of the road. They thought he'd walked there

There is not a sadder sight than seeing a middle aged man poached up at a suburban, generic sports bar just staring straight ahead and drinking his life away.
not nearly as sad as your desperate need for attention while pretending you’re at OT baller.

I know the guy. He’s had a rough go since graduating from OM with drugs and other life circumstances. I hate this happened to him.

So, how long HAVE you worked at animal control euthanizing dogs?

can’t tell if you are serious or just trolling OM grads. Funny either way!

Tac, please take that Louisiana Tech logo off your name. Us middle aged Louisiana Tech grads love to post up at a sports bar during football season & any time of the year for that matter. That comment is Blasphemy.

In my career as a Mailman if I shot and killed all of the dogs that came at me while working there would be dozens and dozens of dead dogs. Some people should not be given a gun if they can't handle a lab coming at them, smh.

It's kind of ironic that cops keep their K9s in the car locked up or on a super leash and that is expected to keep it from biting someone but people get mad when an unleashed aggressive dog gets shot by the cops. They are all dogs and will bite someone no matter how many years they have been "good boys". All dogs are cousins to pit bulls.

You people never cease to amaze.

Yeah, it is ironic the dog trained to actually bite people is the one you can't ever lawfully defend yourself against... even if you're not the bad guy.

In your expert opinion on a matter like this, would you say your job was to go door to door or box to box and be there for a couple seconds and move on, and a cops job is to walk in to dangerous situations all the time and usually they don't anticipate loose aggressive dogs coming out of the shadows?

If this was accepted behavior, there would be a lot of dead dogs is what I'm saying.

All dogs will bite, they don't have to be trained. It's in their DNA

In my experience, blacks are terrified of water and dogs, so a lab is like Godzilla to them.
It's also a reason to have a dog on your property. You won't have to deal with them entering your property if you have anything more than a toy poodle.

Everyone involved is either a retard or a pussy. This isnt as aggregious as the dude who shot at an ankle biter and hit a little girl in her eye, but its pretty on the nose for the gray area of a valid defense, and being a goddamn man who can handle a mid sized dog that's prob not going to actually bite. I understand being scared and a man should be able to defend himself but 0 respect for not being able to handle that any other way. Pathetic.

Dog owner and cop are both idiots.
Watching the video, I’m not sure how you can blame the cop in this one.

You’re an idiot. A police officer shouldn’t have to deal with a dog charging at him and risk being a bit. Just kill the fricking dog and get on with the job.
He did exactly what he was supposed to do
