48hrs is the max without a warrant, but if he threatened to harm himself there are different rules for holding but there’s evals/treatment generally involved.

I agree with the premise of your post. It’s never a good idea to seemingly provoke the idiots that think they have the moral high ground for messing with ICE. This bar is gonna get some advertising, yeah, but it comes with some risk and it doesn’t take much for some loony to drive a few miles and throw a brick through your window.
