True but bums exist everywhere especially in big cities.

There’s a large sample size and this is 100% correct.

There is MORE than enough data to support this, outside of the obvious direct observation...

But that is quickly dismissed as "racist" or some other buzzword so the conversation ends, and they cycle repeats.

Some places are worse than others, however. shite, you can find bums in small towns. Doesn't mean you can't compare the problem from town to town, or city to city. Anyone who has visited the West Coast cities can tell you that the problem is much, much worse than other places on the other side of the country.

People only see what they want to see, sure there are some really bad parts in LA but there's also some really nice parts.

It's like if someone went around the south and only took pictures of trailer parks and rednecks and said see look how shitty the south is

The problem is that a lot of those "really bad parts in LA" were good (or at least "not as bad") not all that long ago. The longer this goes on, the worse they get and the more they expand until the point where even those "really nice parts" have to deal with needles and/or feces in the street.

Your stance completely ignores this.

Well he leans left so he HAS to defend it.

These are his voters and his political heroes that help create this and make it worse.

I remember when I was in denial of it all too.

I could go to Skid Row or the Fashion District and duplicate this account in a day. It really is crazy.

My GF wants to move back to L.A. I will consider Orange county or something but the further away from L.A. the better IMO

Now you know why Maxine Waters doesn't even want to live in her own district in California. Its much like this one

Not really. Torrance is a good area. Lawndale and Hawthorne could be OK depending on how close you are to Redondo but the rest of it I would never consider.

I was looking at the pictures and I could smell the stank. Then I realized my dog farted.

I walked down to the "fashion district" when I was there a couple of years ago. It looked like the shopping at a cruise port in the caribbean.

Some of those people have legit mental illness. Many are just junkies that took on this life when they kept doing meth crack and heroin.

I mean that’s bad but you do realize that area has 15 million people

Does any of this surprise you? That’s like combining the populations of Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi and showing pictures of strange shite people see every day. I’d follow that account BTW

LA's weather ensures the city will always have a homelessness problem

There's a video on the site listed in the OP that shows Palisades Park in Santa Monica in 2010 and 2019. It's night and day.

Currently, there are dozens of homeless and people shooting up in broad daylight. In 2010 there were none.

In my little town in BFE you see sketchy looking adults walking or riding shitty bikes now. You never used to see that. Almost everybody could afford some kind of hoopty. My brother's office is next to an overpass that has a homeless encampment under it. I think meth has played a big part. I don't know what else might have contributed, but things are definitely different now.
