This is exactly right. We aren’t shitty enough to be a top 5 pick team but aren’t good enough to be in the playoff race.

We will be mired in the middle pack of teams that toils yearly around the 6-10 to 9-7 mark. We are just lucky enough to be in a shitty division where 9-7 or 8-8 can win it. Those teams make bad draft picks, have poor roster management and make overpriced free agent signings.
