I’m stuck in Augusta. My flight was scheduled from Atlanta to Houston tomorrow afternoon. Didn’t get an email, text, or anything indicating the flight was cancelled. I had to check myself. This is total incompetence.

I think SWA is the worst of all the airlines. I prefer Spirit and Frontier. At least I can pick my seat.

Had 3 tix to Chicago yesterday that was cancelled. Only reason I knew is bc I checked. Got the auto-message 6hrs later.
I only fly with them these days to burn the ungodly amount of miles I have.

Here’s the culprit. TWU local 566 Dallas put out this press release. Looks like a planned sickout strategically planned to hit SW at Christmas.

Looks like my Weds flight back to Atlanta is gonna get canceled.
Sounds like there's major system/staffing issues with their crew scheduling team per a SWA employee on reddit. It appears to be a very manual process to correct and are resetting/canceling the majority of flights over the next few days.
The luggage issue sounds like even more of a shitshow.

I flySw every two weeks for work and have zero issues….until today. Canceled my flight after delaying iy four times from NoLA to Kansas City. Got a text 4 hours later with a numer to call and was refunded the tickets with nothing else. My wife has been trying to get to Seattle for 3 days and hasn’t been offered a refund yet but booked on alaska with No issues. Fuk SW for me. They should have cancelled my flight earlier and saved me the time and money. Fuk the workers too. You have a job that requires you to work holidays and you signed up for it. I can say that as a guy that worked Christmas for 18 years.

They just did a story on the Tampa news aboot their airport closures. Some were told yesterday that they would be delayed a week. I am 50 miles from there. We are at 41 with clear skies. WTF?

They MAY be able to fire a couple of the people who called out but most will keep or get their job back with back pay.
