No idea, thanks for the clarification.

Did you see the new documentary? (I don’t have a&e)
Posted on 7/19/26 at 1:06 am to GreenRockTiger
I have not, I only watched the original trial from afar (I was working myself at the time) but my then-lady was glued to the news reports and dragged me into it OJ style, and from what I saw and heard he seemed guilty. The facts, evidence and frankly his utterly bizarre, dismissive behavior led me to believe so. Am always willing to consider actual new evidence though.

He went fishing on Christmas Eve 100 miles from his house in a boat recently bought and concealed in relative secrecy on the same day his wife and unborn son go missing. Both bodies were eventually found in that same location.
Consider this slightly altered scenario. That’d be like someone from Baton Rouge going to Lake Pontchartrain with his wife fishing and claiming they both returned home to Baton Rouge before his wife went missing on the same day but there’s no concrete proof she ever made it back home. 4 months later her body is found floating in Lake Pontchartrain.

What? They found sticky notes that a recent signature expert shows written by his wife, meaning she knew about the boat. Those were never given to defense I believe. Part of case was he secretly purchased boat but the stickies were about boat. Mainly just more stuff hidden and not presented at trial.
When you look at all the holes in case it is really sketchy. He may have done the crime, but its a lot of heresy and no forensic evidence all circumstantial.
To kill her he had to do it at home. No evidence supports that. And the planning alone to move body in full daylight next to his street. He didn’t even have his pickup backed into drive. And the list goes on and on.
All I’m saying is the 4 hours were full of actual facts that happened and not investigated and very plausible other options again not even pursued. I was very skeptical at start of the show. Because I was hard core guilty just like everyone else in this thread.. it raised some big questions. And so many I couldn’t list if I wanted to. They put a lot of work in this and researched every angle and even tracked down witnesses who said the state never called them back.
I was going to come here and post how bad this team/show was and it did give me pause I didn’t expect. I’m pretty analytical and need to see things not trust things. I expected it was a farce show with random fake info. I was wrong.
I would suggest at least watching and then come back and see if even one or two highly suspect things make you question it. I kept waiting for the show to go rogue but it was logical and they followed the leads. So much was wrong.

You have 2 scenarios, either the husband who was having an affair, who provides questionable alibis, carrys 3 phones and attempted to conceal his identity and alter his appearance, did it. OR
Some random person (people) had such a huge issue with a pregnant lady that they wanted to murder her and dump the body somewhere that the husband ironically has some familiarization with, 100 miles away on christmas eve

No idea if he hid it from her but it really didn’t matter if she knew about it or not. Doubt she was thinking he’s was planning on dumping her body with the boat. And after the fact she wouldn’t be around anyway.
He said he was going golfing to her family that day because in his somewhat simple mind it might look suspicious that he went on a random boat ride on the same day their daughter went missing. But that little lie just made it look worse when it came out. Lots of stuff like that with him.

He's the male version of Susan Smith.
He killed two humans.
Let him rot.
Should've been executed.

She was 8 months pregnant dude. Baby weight plus her gain. At least 140 lbs of dead weight maybe more.. She is not fitting in an ice chest. She was not found in an ice chest either.
So 2 ice chests? Or just a tarp.
I don’t understand your reasoning. Why do you think not being found in an ice chest means she was not transported in one? Or even a tarp.
If someone says that she was not transported in the boat simply because no one reported seeing a body in the boat, do you just accept that reasoning? Or do you quickly decide that is the dumbest, most dishonest explanation you’ve ever heard.
The show’s new evidence was that the bodies are most likely to have been dumped from land where a truck could easily drive up. That doesn’t mean Scott did not murder his wife. It suggests an attorney would like a new trial because someone dumped Laci’s body at the same location Scott was fishing, and it was still likely Scott did it. The evidence still shows he was there, 90 miles from their home, a minimal amount of feet away from where her body was found on the same day she went missing.
Is he suddenly innocent because we think she was not transported in the boat? Or because the boat may not have been launched with the body in it? Does that deserve a new trial?

Prosecution presented facts that have not been refuted.
Unfortunately, juries expect a story. So the best a prosecution team can do is try to piece together a complete story with the most compelling evidence to help the jury understand.
If the evidence is still strong but the story had holes, that doesn’t mean he’s innocent or even that a new trial is justified .
He’s guilty as frick.

Scott Peterson, The New Evidence
I only heard most of the stuff as background noise. When it went to trial, I told her that the evidence was weak. I said maybe he did it, but the evidence wasn't enough to prove guilt. I thought his conviction was a result of the media pressure.
Compare that to what I said about Casey Anthony. I said she was almost certainly guilty, but the evidence was too weak to prove guilt.

I’m not going to quote all your “evidence” but people at the boat launch are not looking in anybody else’s boat. They are also not looking for a body.
People like neighbors easily get their dates wrong. Think about the neighbor two doors down from you. When was the last day you saw them walking? Are you sure?
You don’t go get a boat from a warehouse, hook it up, get it ready to fish, go drive an hour and half to fish, drive all the way out into the water to fish, spend 30 mins, drive all the way back, pack boat back in a warehouse. AND do this on Christmas Eve and I’m going off memory that was the date. With a pregnant wife? No way. Oh by the way, exactly where you went is where she washed up.
Guilty. The end.

Has Making a Murderer taught us nothing? These are entertainment pieces, not documentaries.

Except their theory was absolutely ridiculous and made no sense at all. They destroyed evidence to fit it

There is no evidence. There is plenty of reasonable doubt in this case. He may be a POS and had zero care for his wife but I don’t think he did it. If he did Theres not enough to make a conviction for sure.
