Ganesha's top pitcher is home schooled outside of Ganesha's district but still takes classes online at Ganesha. He will be a 1st round draft pick and has committed to LSU.
Ganesha High School's baseball team faced heavy accusations regarding amateur eligibility, as the majority of their roster was composed of travel ball players connected to head coach Jared Sandler. Critics and opposing coaches accused the program of bending rules by having players live outside the Pomona district and take online classes.The travel ball controversies and surrounding accusations were highly publicized:T
Critics argued that the team circumvented traditional transfer rules by fielding players who resided outside the district and took online courses outside the Pomona area.
Championship Drama: The situation reached a boiling point in May 2026 before the CIF Southern Section Division 2 title game. Rumors circulated that Ganesha's coach and nearly all the travel-ball players were going to miss the championship game to attend an out-of-state camp. The Pomona Unified School District's superintendent stepped in, and the team ultimately showed up. Ganesha went on to win the championship against Loyola High School.
