A sports beat reporter -a very good one in his own lane, I grant you- picks up this exchange of banter from a “source” (prolly a low-level Commanders admin who just didn’t get it)- and, wahla!, it’s reported as some sort of Woodward/Bernstein bombshell expose of lead pipe cinch ‘fact’; the ‘fact’ being that Trump is totally the new Sun King who insists on having his name engraved on every edifice imaginable.
