He went bald rubbing the headboard.
Also retired and loving this season on my life. Sailing longer voyages and meeting some very nice people that makes up for the trashy, dishonest lowlife people in my past.
I’m sneaking up to a Golden anniversary and planning that next great sailing adventure.

I’d kill to be able to spend all day doing my home and garden tasks. Home Depot and Lowe’s wouldn’t be able to keep up with me. If I play the cards right, will be permanently out of office by 50-53.

I’m 71. Retired when I was 61. I’ve worked since I was 13. To this day many people ask what do you do with your time. My answer, whatever the hell I want, or nothing at all. What is interesting is that my wife is a retired school teacher and not once have I heard people ask her what do you do with your time.

I'm on track to retire at 60. I've been dumping money in my investments to see if I could manage to have everything paid off and a giant egg sitting in my accounts for me to retire at 55. Im freakin ready - I've missed out on so much of life by getting into trucking.

Ready to pull the rip cord, and have been for a few years. But I’m nicely compensated and have a few employees I’m bringing along to take over. Kinda fun because I don’t do what I don’t want to, unless it affects our comp.

Mid 70’s seems a lot like jumping in w/no legs.

I get that question quite a bit as well. It is like society is so programmed to work so hard for so long, that we can’t quit working even when we are able.

Just turned 65 today, but haven’t pushed the button yet. Will likely step away by the end of the year.

Congats, you earned it. I flunked retirement twice, vanity pushed me to take the bait, "you're the only one that we trust". No more. Never take the bait.

Plus, I keep adding more projects on top of everything else due to hobbies, and we keep adding hobbies. As an example, we just recently added kayaking (recreationally and fishing) as another hobby. I've been building portable kayak racks, a portable kayak launching system, custom trailer, rigging out kayaks, etc.

I just got into the kayak business. I’ve found that men hardly kayak. Mostly women. Men apparently watch sports on tv or chase travel ball

Stop acting like a sissy and maybe you can retire someday.
It sucks to suck.
