Good luck brotha! I was forced out and hated it at first. After 10 years I’m on the crest of the wave!

Jealous of ya old man. I’m about halfway through my working years. Got a little one and another on the way, so I don’t want the time to fly by too fast. But dang retirement sounds nice!

Congratulations!
One suggestion. Try to find a purpose. Whether it is tinkering around your house, volunteering, a hobby, etc. Many retirees lose direction & go off the rails. Cheers! Prayers for the next chapter of your life.

Congrats! Just turned 45 yesterday and not sure I can do another 20 years in corporate America. I’ve got another 10 in me for sure and maybe 15 at most.

Congrats. I punched out at 55, but I had enough to leave at 53. The last two years when you have enough to leave are the best years

Good bless you! I had the opportunity to take a package which enabled me to stop working on 4/30 but continued to get pay and benefits through the end of this month. My official retirement is 7/1, but I have been loving this so far.

61 years old, and worked for the same company for 37 years. Looking forward to what the future brings.

Yeah that’s what I am thinking as well. Would be nice to get to your number and then it’s just gravy. Makes it easier adding on knowing if you really are sick of it you can walk.

Agreed. 5/15 was my LDW and it is glorious to not have anything that I must do.
