He was a good friend. More importantly he gave his time and treasure to our wounded vets through his foundation, not to leave out his own service to our country. Also, he had a tremendous respect for our WWII vets.
If you have been to the WWII museum and sat in one of the video areas to listen and watch interviews, most likely it was an interview that Dan traveled to film them and on his own dime. I could call him on any given day and ask him how many WWII vets were still with us and he would give me the exact number. He will be missed.

Traffic will be worse than you can imagine. The public beach parking lot will be full by 5am on Friday and Saturday of the show.
