re: How to tell kids that it's time to put the family dog down?
Posted by Tiger in the Sticks on 2/27/26 at 12:38 pm to StringedInstruments
If she’s had issues with emotional regulation, maybe consult a school counselor or her pediatrician? It may not be the most honest thing to do, but I would take the dog to the vet, have her put down and tell your daughter there was nothing the Dr. could do. It’s not transparent, but it’s not a lie. It’s going to be awful for the whole family, I’m so sorry.

re: What Were You Doing On A Friday Night In High School?
Posted by Tiger in the Sticks on 2/26/26 at 7:42 pm to STigers
Late 70’s, St Louis suburbs. Football games were over pretty early, seems like we usually went to the boat docks to party afterwards because it was close. Other Fridays were usually drive-in, arcade, parties at friends’ houses or just driving around. We used to openly party across the street from the very small town city hall/police station; we called it Busch Gardens.
On Saturday nights, regardless of what we were doing we would be at somebody’s house at 10:30 for Saturday Night Live,

Maybe try a realistic toy dog? Start out by letting her hold it without batteries. Maybe video yourself holding the dog first? I hope you can make it work.

Not sure what leashed up consists of, but could that have been a factor? He felt trapped etc? I had a very docile lab that was extremely protective of me when my husband wasn’t home.

Honestly love sitting in left field. Right field is miserable for day games.

A couple of times the wind blew the gate open and he got out. I grabbed my keys and he was just sniffing around in the side yard. Followed me right back inside.

I agree with some of his points, but I don’t think he is the best messenger. He whines SO much and is unparalleled in playing the CFB martyr. I did watch his press conference, the contact from Pete was pretty egregious.

Wonder if we didn’t retain him because he’s disloyal?
re: Is staging a house worth it?
Posted by Tiger in the Sticks on 1/23/26 at 5:43 pm to AZBadgerFan
If you’re not getting a link to the MLS, ask your realtor to send it to you. There’s a lot more information than on Realtor, Zillow etc. You can look at sold properties with days on market etc and see if staging seemed to make a difference.

He hung 489 passing yards on y’all in 2019. How many do you think Mendoza would throw?
