I question whether it’s even true or not, or if her friend is trying to justify something. The “vacation” justification sounds sketchy.

cutting board

I got married 43 years ago, and a marble cutting board was my favorite gift. It had a matching rolling pin, and it lasted about 35 years. Loved it..

For me, taking a bath helped with the pain. As soon as I got out, it started hurting again, so I spent quite a bit of time in the tub one Christmas day. Probably not the best idea if you’re taking pain meds, though.

Lost my wife of 34 years a little over 7 months ago

I was widowed a couple of years ago, so I’m familiar with eating alone. I’ve adjusted to that part OK. It’s the random memory assault that I struggle with. It’s weird meeting people that never knew him; he was so awesome and unique and is still my favorite subject.
I’ve always had huge respect for the way he behaved as a recruit. No games, committed and that was it.
Dark side of the rainbow

Yes, with Wizard of the Oz in VHS. Had to wait until the lion’s 3rd roar to synch up the music.

I thought maybe it was just Vitello, but he managed to build a stadium and an obnoxious program based on his persona.
Agree, I think we’ve turned the corner. Seems like in 2009 TN was the turning point. Maybe Auburn…

They still get their AB.
Much more effective in relief but would love to see him develop as a starter. Love that kid, one of my favorite players.
I have a friend who’s divorced and still takes communion. I think her priest blessed her marriage.

My husband was Catholic, and received communion when he was hospitalized. There was one (Eucharist minister?) who served me, too, even though I told him I wasn’t Catholic.

appease the Dale/Temple contingent

This is what makes the most sense to me.
I was widowed 2 years ago, and I don’t think I’ll ever date again. I feel incredibly blessed that my husband chose me to spend his life with and that’s all I need. We were married for 40 years. I have a friend whose wife passed away and he was dating within a few months. Many people can’t bear to be alone and will seek out a relationship as a result. There is not a second that I don’t feel the crush of missing him, but I have a lot of joy in my life and am fine living alone.
She looks intense just like she always does.

Yes, he was on the tarmac with other coaches when she arrived in BR after being hired.
I don’t know where the local (and some national) media would be without it-too many times you hear them say something that you known originated here.
That article is one of the most chilling things I’ve read in a long time.

I think universal health care has to be a factor, too. I’m guessing medical costs are higher for a child with Downs and the government doesn’t want to absorb that.

Consider the possibility that the agent’s claim count may impact him financially. Ask your agent if you have a duty under your policy to report a claim.

I’m never giving up on this kid. The brilliance is there and the consistency will follow.
What cracks me up is when their face is filtered but no one else in the picture is. I did the Christmas AI pic in Chat GPT and showed it to my grandkids; they had no idea who it was.
