Dollywood started their new drink system where you buy a soda and have to scan a QR code to get the drink
You are only allowed to fill the drink for a set amount of time, depending on the ounces you purchased
America is not a high trust society, so now refills are not allowed and every ounce accounted for. Multiple places throughout America are implementing this same QR system
The soda machine cuts you off when you’ve reached your limit
We shouldn’t have to live like this

A single fountain soda costs a restaurant between $0.15 and $0.40 to produce, including the cup, syrup, carbonation, and ice. Because they sell these drinks to customers for $2.50 to $4.00, fountain sodas yield a massive 80% to 90% profit margin

Yet no comments about our corporate overlords. This QR code system is BS.

Nothing to do with trust and everything to do with capitalism… when you’re getting refills you’re not buying another drink.
I do hope that ice and water is always free though
Funnily enough you won’t see this system in high-end places

Actually there was a time you didn’t get any refills for free.
I remember when that started happening and it was a race to the bottom. Every place had to do it because more and more places were doing it.
I remember as a kid being very excited you could get free refills on your Coke at McDonalds.
Pendulum is swinging back it seems.

I don’t really know of any restaurant other than fast food who gives refills on soft drinks. Tea and coffee, yes.

Universal has been doing this for years.

Its unlimited. That is to keep freeloaders from filling their own. Was there last week.

Absolutely no one needs that shite.
It has been so long that I can’t even tell you how many years it’s been since I’ve had sugar water.
It’s absolute poison.

Should have this feature for fat people, get to a certain level of obesity and life cuts you off.

Really? All restaurants do free refills on soda, even fancy 5 star places.
They normally do not do free refills on juice drinks.
That is pretty much why America is fat.
