Also, her pour didn’t expire. It ran out of volume because some guy cut her. She was either taking way too fricking long or this guy is a dick bag for cutting her.

We're 3 pages in and not a single comment on her amazing breasts?
I was shocked, too. In other news, she is not bad looking.

Disney has been doing that for years. Thry have refillable cups you buy that get activated and only work for a set number of days.

Nothing to do with trust and everything to do with capitalism… when you’re getting refills you’re not buying another drink.
I do hope that ice and water is always free though
Funnily enough you won’t see this system in high-end places
The guy with middle cup did get water; not sure that is QR code dependent, but the ice may have been.
As for the reasons for it, I think it's similar to why many AYCE places switched to charging you if you left a lot of food on your last plate. That's straight waste that they have to eat. Soda is similar; a lot of people tend to fill their cup up before they leave just because they can. Whatever they don't finish is just gone. McDonald's and Chick Fil A require you to go up to the counter and request a refill which they do for the exact same reason. Controlling waste in a society that leans into always getting more even when they don't need to.

Remember when you could pump gas, THEN go inside and pay? I do.
I remember this too. You would get pretty good stopping close to what you wanted to put in. But always kept change in vehicle in case you messed up and put in $10.01.
Then a certain demographic got to be a certain percentage and the practice got shite canned. Too many pump and gos. Same saying as dine and dash.

She didn't take much time between scanning that QR code and trying to use the ice/drinks. Mr. Pours a Lot was lurking with his non-Dollywood/No QR Code Cup and basically used up her allotted ice and drink

Ah, ok. I don’t go out as much anymore and just remember seeing “no free refills” on menus. I stand corrected.
Chinese restaurants and small cafes or taquerias tend to sell coke by the can, so no free refills. Sometimes have seen 2 soft drinks listed on the receipt due to refill, in touristy places.
But free refills are pretty standard in places that use fountain drinks.

In retrospect, anyone going to Dollywood deserves their shite product. Who goes to a park themed for that disgusting wench

One of the Japanese Hibachi places does this around here. They will bring you a cup of ice and a can. Charge like $1.50 per can. I have to tell my boys not to be wasteful. They can get a Sprite or Dr. Pepper, but once that is done it is water from then on.

Yes, thx. I guess too I don’t drink soft drinks often so didn’t realize restaurants are offering refills now. Used to say “no refills.”
