I bought a .270 at WalMart in 2020 for 199.00 on clearance.
The action was really crunchy. I polished the shite out of it. Even ran a copper wire brush on it a while. Worked the action on it a few hundred time. Butter smooth since then and as accurate as I can shoot it.
I have one in 7mm08 that my kids have used for 10-12 years. Really good guns.
