I paid over $400 for a mountain Hardwear Gore Tex jacket and when I wore I recently every seam detached. I sent it in and they said that the 10 years I owned the jacket exceeds the “relative lifetime” of the jacket. The reason I paid over $400 is knowing it will let me. I used to work for The North Face and they would warranty their items for a true lifetime of the product. Do NOT purchase items from Columbia or Mountain Hardwear

Just because you said this, I am going to spend more money with Columbia now.

I have a Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech fleece jacket that I bought 20 years ago. I used to wear it every day. I've hiked with a heavy backpack and daypacks on it. It's still in perfect condition. Not a single stitch has come loose, the zippers are in perfect shape, none of the material looks stressed or worn out. Best piece of clothing I've ever purchased. (I also have a MH Gore-tex snowboarding jacket and a down jacket that are both old and in perfect condition, but I haven't worn those nearly as much.) They've been well worth the price premium you pay for the brand.

They probably looked you up on Facebook and saw the hard work that jacket was forced to do to contain you.

Mountain Hardware is not responsible for your obesity resulting in popped seams.

Jesus man, how much of your floppy labia did you squeeze into that thing to cause the seams to separate?

What is amazing is that some company thinks Marketing in this manner is effective and pays your company to post shite like this.

You chose poorly in coming to the OT.

You did good posting this. Give those frickers as much bad press as you can.

Because they refused to honor that warranty. They just lost a customer. I won't buy anything from them. Unless it's something i like, something really cool, something i need or it's on sale or it fits perfect. Other than those reasons, i won't go anywhere near them. Unless i need something that goes with an existing item and they have it. Otherwise, forget it. frick those dick smokers.

Thanks for the heads up.
