I'll play along, what brand should we be looking at if we are in the market for a new jacket?

(Btw, who the frick calls it/buys a Gore Tex jacket anymore? That was some 90s lingo and technology)

The board shite all over Patagonia recently because of the outwardly liberal corporate views, but they have the best warranty in the business.

I think I'd call BS on Mountain Hardwear in this situation. The tag says lifetime warranty not 10 year warranty so they need to honor that. I have a few MH jackets and you have given me something to think about the next time I go buy some gear.

You need to get your emotions in check there sport.

Not warranted for emotional outbursts.

Why wouldn’t you get in touch with some people you used to work with and get an employee discount on North Face products, instead of paying over $400 for a coat made by Columbia?

I've got a 10 year old wind stopper that still looks brand new. Pretty sure they're owned by someone else as of a few years ago. Maybe they now make a shittier product but charge the same

10 years the jacket lasted you and you're upset. Now I have older jackets, but come on.
This is worse than people who return milk.

I can imagine a woman so mad. He joined a few dozen forums to copy and paste that.

Get an Arcteryx jacket. Lifetime warranty. And relatively close in price to what you paid. If they can fix the seems they’ll send you a new jacket of equal value and you can pick it.

MH is more expensive than Marmot stuff. That said, my MH soft shell jacket is 10+ years old and looks brand new. Their stuff is good quality.
