You said it yourself: the lifetime of the product. Not YOUR lifetime.

What a bunch of cucks in this thread. Ole baw was trying to throw some info toward the rest of you tiger droppings and yet yall pull the cuck move of siding with the company not honoring its warranty. We'll see how funny it is when your sister wants to stop honoring yall's wedding vows a year or two in the future and want a divorce.

They did honor their warranty. Lifetime warranty means the life of the product - almost always. You really think a fricking China made technical jacket is gonna last 50+ years.

So I guess everything has a lifetime warranty then? Hell, paper towels even

I don’t know. Read the company’s warranty policy I guess. Everything wears out or breaks down eventually. Especially clothing items.

YEah dude is a cuck. We warranty everything for the lifetime of it. However we will not fix any problems you may encounter in the future as those problems will only result after the lifetime of the product has been used up.

they said that the 10 years I owned the jacket exceeds the “relative lifetime” of the jacket.

That is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

I'll admit that I didnt expect this thread to still be going

I bought a MH Ghost Whisperer for my wife and she loved that thing. On a ski trip, she tore it by accident and when I contacted MH, they basically told me the same thing even though the jacket was less than a year old. Its bullshite and "life span of the jacket" is a complete joke of an excuse to not honor the warranty. IMO, quality has gone way down in both product materials and customer service for MH.

We switched to Outdoor Research and haven't looked back. In fact, I tore my down jacket backpacking and they sent me a new one. No questions asked. The new one arrived in less than a week. Their infinite warranty is legit and their products are excellent quality.

Stop being a cheap arse. Your and/or your wife’s clumsiness has nothing to do with a brands quality or lack there of.

These brands and their generosity when it comes to your oopsies would cease to exist if everyone acted the same as you.

Irony of this is that I just purchased a Mountain Hardwear windstopper based on this threads feedback.

Thanks!!

Jwald seems to be the most negative person on the internet. The username is tied to only negative reviews. Sunglasses, iPhone, car rental, this jacket...

Someone needs to temper his/her expectations a little.

I have a black leather jacket. I got it for $220.

All the sewn patches of Swedish and Norwegian black metal bands, occult sigils and custom touches have gotten me offers of $800 for it.

You do jackets wrong.

I had a North Face day pack with a zipper problem that was a longtime favorite. I was told to send it in for a new zipper by several people who worked in the outdoor clothing industry. North face sent it back unrepaired with a note saying it had outlived the "lifetime warranty". It was about 10 years old at the time.
