Allvof this should’ve happened the day after Landry took office. While I’m happy he did it, he let all this DEI garbage go on for way too long.
There's a lot of crying happening on the FB pages. Many seem to think this means they fired productive educators instead of just administrative staff that isn't producing much value.
Glad to see it.

This is actually very low compared to othes.
If you really want to make yourself sick, go look at woke colleges up north and the salary breakdowns for these departments. Hundreds of millions of dollars annually in some cases with upwards of 25-30 people that literally have no job description other than to find or create some racial strife on campus. That is literally their only job
Yep. University of Michigan famously had 249 people on its DEI org chart.
Why is college so expensive now?

These phucking administrator types being paid nauseating sums of tax payer dollars for doing nothing.
They create no worthwhile value.

Why did Landry let these people stay on so long?
It seems that Landry originally let one of the people stay on because they renamed the office to something other than DEI. But who cares if they technically rename DEI to something other than DEI? It's a pure cosmetic change.

My question: how the frick do you lay off your CFO? Seems to me like that’s a very important position when you are facing budget cuts…

I’m just happy JBE is gone. He nearly destroyed LSU.

Todd Manuel, former vice president of LSU’s Office of Engagement, Civil Rights and Title IX, was also terminated. He received an annual salary of $329,824.
Manuel was hired in 2022 by former LSU President William Tate,
Yet people still say Tate was a good hire.
Tate sucked, did nothing substantial at LSU and left it in worse condition than he found it.
It's the "soft bigotry of low expectations" where Tate wasn't as bad as they thought he might be, so that means he was good.

Because there is already a system CFO. It's a duplicate position.

LSU has fired its chief financial officer, the administrator in charge of handling sex-based discrimination complaints
Cause that makes sense

Is the journalist an idiot, that doesn't know what an oxford comma is, or was the CFO actually in charge of that shite?
The AP Style Guide instructed journalists to omit the Oxford comma, or it once did.

Makes sense….so, I assume no other school the LSU system has a CFO?

Seems like several SEC schools are in the process of defenestrating their DEI staff. The first step was to rename the departments and send our a memo that they were done with that stuff.
The second step is to get rid of the folks who were manning those departments, or at least get rid of the ones who didn't understand the memo.

It's simply mind boggling that this kind of money was being spent on this junk at a place of (supposed) higher education.

Tate picked Manuel for the job although he had no previous experience in higher education or with Title IX.
Must have been a hell of an interview.

LSU-BR has a chancellor that reports to the system president
The campus needs a head of finance that reports to the system CFO
Maybe you call that person something else
