Construction surveying is an Ok route.
I did land surveying for a year and almost starved .
Property surveying has changed drastically in the last 20 years. Most of it is done by computers and the days of title research have gone.
Total stations and gps have shrunk down the industry and sped up the process which has downsized the need for land surveyors.

Had to do a freeze plug back in November.
$1200, $6 for a new freeze plug and $20 for a new motor mount.
The remainder was labor charge !
