If you look at the Playbill credits many of the actors have been on Broadway. The quality of the touring Broadway plays is pretty good
re: LSU had over 62,000 applicants this year. Awarded 5,800 degrees this spring.

LSU is a much better school academically than 20 yrs ago
The Dems were against all the Ammendments to go against Landry lots of left wing national money GOP turnout was not enough to overcome and conservative voters are generally reluctant to support Ammendments

Get rid of the inventory tax. Don’t care about the other ones
BK will never work again. What Verge said in interview is known by agents and administrators Woodward hired a guy 10 years past his prime with no hunger and gave him 100 mil it’s just human nature they’re very few people at his age with that guaranteed money that will do what it takes to win
re: If you want Season Tickets, call the Saints Ticket Office.
Posted by Optimism on 5/12/26 at 7:52 am to Lester Earl
Season tickets only worth it if team is very good then you can recoup some money by selling a few games which obviously hasn’t been the case the last 5 years
I think that’s the most disappointing thing. Jay totally misread this team and he is struggling with that reality .
re: Zurich in the same spot on the calendar next year. ETA no signature event the week after.

The course is in the best shape it has ever been. I hope next year they won’t have a signature event the week after

If they really keep it in the bank and let it accrue interest it’s not horrible. It should lower the interest they have to pay on bonds so while on paper looks bad it actually may be OK.
The drainage has been upgraded.

Stadium will be half empty next week

Lowry is a Zurich ambassador so he

re: Baton Rouge long term outlook

BR has a stable economy because of LSU the state govt and all the industrial jobs. It needs to focus on crime and quality of life issues but it has a much better future than Jackson MS
The PGA definitely should move to August but the tour probably won’t do that . TPC Louisiana is in great shape. The timing of the Venice is tough but it’s all a fun event to go to and the players enjoy the break from the weekly grind. Zurich is a great sponsor so hopefully they can keep the tournament going. The crowds have been big the last few years

Sounds like the Zurich will be sticking around at least until 2030
re: Are Republicans screwed moving forward?

Republican Congress is worthless the President can only do so much
re: What lever does Trump pull to improve economy before November
Posted by Optimism on 4/12/26 at 4:40 pm to QboveTopSecret
The Dems will win the midterms because Trump doesn’t give them everything they will vote for people who will give them nothing they want as a protest or just don’t go vote. It doesn’t make sense. No politician will ever give you 100% of what you want

re: Evangelicals turning on Catholics all of a sudden.

Social media is not reality. Young Catholics are becoming more conservative. Christians of all denominations are less divided than the past
re: Rolfe McCollister column re Wade
Posted by Optimism on 4/9/26 at 10:04 pm to AkronTiger
Rolfe is part of old school BR Elite. He pretends to be a Republican but supports a lot of Democrats. He hates Jeff Landry and doesn’t like that the BR power brokers are currently locked out of power. He was a huge Woodward supporter also . HE is the BR equivalent of NewOrleans Uptown blue bloods except he has nothing to really be proud of .
