I’m just happy JBE is gone. He nearly destroyed LSU.

LSU so much better off than when JBE and Tate were in charge
Football basketball baseball will always be top 3 in US. Hockey 4 then you have the individual Sports, which could potentially before like golf and even tennis. Soccer is an afterthought every 4 yrs
Landry reluctantly signed some tort bills on auto and more on property also did a compromise to end the legacy lawsuits he is still too tied to the trial bar but better than JBE. A lot of good things are happening economically in the state LSU is in a much better position with Landry than JBE HE has been great on crime and Troop NOLA has been a great success The port expansion is moving forward. Tulane Charity moving forward the SKC is going to be renovated Omni Hotel will happen airport expanding etc . The state is forcing NOLA to change even though they fight it. It would be great for the state to take control of the FQ. Landry is far from perfect but a huge upgrade from JBE. Maybe we could get a strictly business no side antics governor next but I doubt tbere js a candidate out there that could beat Landry and I certainly don’t want a Democrat back in the govenrors mansion .

This is only gonna backfire on New Orleans Murril is likely to be the next governor assuming Landry wins re-election She will take over in 2031. Laurie White is crazy
re: What's the worst state out of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama?
Posted by Optimism on 6/28/26 at 6:34 pm to Roberteaux
It depends what you like. Louisiana has the culture food New Orleans best fishing just overall alot more things to do and a lot more direct flights from MSY than BHAm and La economy is finally starting to click. Alabama is overall nice and has the beaches and a more diverse economy but is very bland MS if you like peace and quiet and the MS Coast is only an hour from NOLA
It will be great if Tulane is able to pull it off. I think they got a big donation from Goldring Foundation . The new UMC is much better than Charity and has actually been kept nice with LCMC .

The events in the large cities will have Smaller crowds probably higher TV ratings. It’s all about TV money and sponsorships. They don’t really care about local charities and the local golf fan.

Hopefully construction on new port terminal in St Bernard will start this fall or early next year

If you look at the Playbill credits many of the actors have been on Broadway. The quality of the touring Broadway plays is pretty good
re: LSU had over 62,000 applicants this year. Awarded 5,800 degrees this spring.

LSU is a much better school academically than 20 yrs ago
The Dems were against all the Ammendments to go against Landry lots of left wing national money GOP turnout was not enough to overcome and conservative voters are generally reluctant to support Ammendments

Get rid of the inventory tax. Don’t care about the other ones
BK will never work again. What Verge said in interview is known by agents and administrators Woodward hired a guy 10 years past his prime with no hunger and gave him 100 mil it’s just human nature they’re very few people at his age with that guaranteed money that will do what it takes to win
re: If you want Season Tickets, call the Saints Ticket Office.
Posted by Optimism on 5/12/26 at 7:52 am to Lester Earl
Season tickets only worth it if team is very good then you can recoup some money by selling a few games which obviously hasn’t been the case the last 5 years
I think that’s the most disappointing thing. Jay totally misread this team and he is struggling with that reality .
re: Zurich in the same spot on the calendar next year. ETA no signature event the week after.

The course is in the best shape it has ever been. I hope next year they won’t have a signature event the week after

If they really keep it in the bank and let it accrue interest it’s not horrible. It should lower the interest they have to pay on bonds so while on paper looks bad it actually may be OK.
The drainage has been upgraded.
