Also Venture Global is here and is a major sponsor of Saints and I am guessing the Pels soon. Caesars is invested in city PELs will sign a lease extension. Keeping them here another 15 yrs. When teams are sold, hopefully state will continue to grow economically and they’ll be enough money to keep them both. We’re a much better position now than we were 2 to 3 years ago.

Louisiana has true economic momentum for first time since the late 1970s oil boom

It’s very simple if the team wins people go to the games if not, they won’t
The state is forcing NOLA to get its fiscal house in order. This is actually good for everyone involved.

The public school teachers in the area getitng huge bonuses probably for next 6-7 years because of the increased Sales taxes. that site in Richland Paris I’ve been on the market for 20 years with no takers. I don’t know why anybody would be mad about putting a huge data center there

Some people are against any form of economic development NDAS are needed to compete against other states THe Spade X is huge for state for long term The media will do anything to try and create backlash against Landry while tbey covered for JBE during his disastrous tenure STate finally has economic momentum and more stuff is on the way

Surrogacy is evil but at least the surrogate mother has some moral compass. The other couple is demonic
Is Graves going to run for governor next year ?

re: Pels no longer have a single large pub journalist dedicated to them anymore

This is a national phenomenon. Print media dead. The Athletic won’t exist in a few years. ESPN is laying off a bunch of people Sports journalism is shrinking
re: Politics aside, who's the worst Governor Louisiana has ever had?

EWE and JBE
Nagin first term was last good mayor. Mitch was the worst
re: META already expanding Richland Parish data center

Considering where it was located in North La it is a positive for the state, nothing else was gonna go in that area. It’s been on the market for over 20 years.
re: Is LSU becoming more ghetto? Is there a solution?

Starting next year admission standards will be increased and enrollment reduced. The students who don’t get in will be shifted to LSU NO LSU A LSU E and the regional schools. LSUNO is expected to increase enrollment by 2000 kids in 2027 by taking the kids that wood have previously gotten into LSU. I don’t think you say many changes for 2026 I think 2027 you will start to see a shift to improved academics and standards in Baton Rouge.
re: Chuck Todd whines about Landry
Posted by Optimism on 7/11/26 at 5:43 am to Lsuray70443
Landry has done a lot to put LSU on the right track after the JBE years. We may not like his antics but LSU is in a much better situation than when he took over
The NO Metro area is most important to the State especially if you include the Northshore. BR and New Orleans metro areas should really function as one region It is a shame that Orleans Parish is run by incompetent leftists. If Orleans had serious business minded leadership the whole state would be better off
It’s capitalism NBA generates more revenue and has less players to pay than NHL
I’m just happy JBE is gone. He nearly destroyed LSU.
