Wife wasn't raised with spanking so we essentially don't spank our kids. Our 7 year old responded really well to timeout and I felt weird about spanking a girl anyway so it was never used on her.

We have used it at times for our almost 3 year old son as he is way more mischievous. We have backed off though and like his sister hates and fears timeout, so we are trying that. I'll still swat his hands at times if he is really pushing it.

Unfortunately yes. Got too touristy probably due to private equity getting into the wineries. I have relatives that live there and one of them grew up there and they said they hate what is has become. Not the quaint, quiet place it used to be.

I already saw many black commenters on posts about it and they said even if the ruling is a drowning that they won't believe it. The only "justice" they'll accept is his white friends being charged and convicted of murder and sentenced to prison. That's often what black people mean when they say they want justice. It has to be a white person sentenced to prison or a black person acquitted of a crime. No other way.

It did for the time. An average 6 pack was $1.50 in 1970 which would be around $13 today which is on par. When adjusting for inflation, outside of cars, housing, and education, things cost about the same today as they did then. The key difference as I mentioned is those big three items which make up the majority of American budgets today.
