I think it'll be the opposite. Once they get out there 90% of the wrecks will be caused by humans and you won't be able to insure humans anymore.

This looks right and it will be all of the standard runs with zero route variation. USPS, FEDEX and UPS will be the first to implement.

In 50 years I hope we don't see them at all.

I agree with you, especially in a litigious state such as Louisiana. The liability is too great. Sure, you have the possibility of human error now. But in an automated vehicle, you have the possibility of computer/software error as well as human error... unless someone cranks on skynet.

Doesn't self driving vehicles require highly visible lane markers and lines and such?

If that's the case, many many roads and interstates will not be adequate.
