I could understand Burrow. Best QB in college history. Won a title, won a Heisman. Daniels had 3 losses and only won because Bo Nix choked. Also made a lot of stupid decisions in those losses too.

JB would probably be all for it if a top player/recruit wanted to wear his number 9.
For whatever reason, numbers like 1, 3, 5 and 7 are extremely popular and 9 not near as likely.

WOULD like to know who at LSU would tell a player, like Burrow or Daniels , they wouldn’t use their number again. Were they just trying to stroke their egos ? Or were they just saying it in jest ?

It seems like every player would know that nobody would have the authority at Lsu to say that to them as they know, coaches, athletic directors, board of supervisors, and governors all come and go

Unretire Cannon’s number and make a policy that no numbers will be retired. LSU has too many great players in history and in the future.
