I worked with a few lesbians at my last job. When I found out it wasn't shocking or anything. I could definitely see it afterwards.

I knew the guy in accounting switching down the hall was gay the first time I saw him though

Most people like people of the opposite sex. Boys like girls, and girls like boys. But there are some people who are attracted to the same sex. They are different, but it doesn't matter. You treat them the exact same as you treat any other person.

I'd probably do a Christianized version of this, adding in both that we don't believe it's right or good for these people to marry or have romantic relationships despite how they feel, but that doesn't prevent them from being loved by God the same as you or I are.

the guy that took down the panty bomber is gay, played college hockey for Kent State, iirc, is a funny guy, doesn't look, dress, or act it, he's a pretty cool guy to hang out with, he was going to kill that punk

I'm sure they exist. I just haven't met too many. The only real surprising dude to come out in my lifetime was a guy I went to HS with.

He hid it pretty well and I don't think anyone really knew about it until after HS. He was probably smart to play it that way at that time and place.

Lesbians are sometimes less obvious to me but I've rarely been surprised when I find out a man is gay.

I have still yet to meet a hot lesbian IRL though.

just explain to them that women have vaginas and men have a penis and that those are very confused people with a mental illness.

then explain that its not polite or PC to talk about it

Definitely won’t want to tell his parents the truth.

Luke Evans and Matt Bomer were shocks to me.

One of my coworkers came out to me and acted all dramatic about being relieved that it’s not a secret anymore. I was nice about it but in my head was “well, duh.”

You tell them most people are attracted to the opposite sex and others are going to hell.

Well this certainly isn't the answer.

You tell them that love is love and people can live however they would like as long as no one is being harmed.

And then you explain that trans women shouldn't compete in sports against biological women.

Beyond that, I have no clue.

Our 6 year olds notice it when they see it on TV. They say something amd we usually tell them that it's wrong, but that they are people just like us. We don't judge them or treat them any differently.

I intend to teach them that transvestites have a mental condition, need help, but are dangerous.
