Americans just do not have the ability or willingness or whatever, largely, to lose and keep off weight.
So, there was a need for bariatric surgery that was filled by willing doctors.
There is an effective drug now, and this medication is preferable to surgery. There is now less of a need for bariatric surgery. Fewer will go into the field.
Surgery always seemed like a suboptimal treatment for a psychiatric-type issue.

Call me crazy, but instead of following, videoing, and making assumptions, wouldn’t it have been much more prudent to simply approach the very unthreatening young girls and ask them what they were up to?
