It was a great example of appreciation. Not a single person was in their seats. I just wish the ball would have found its way to in the gap.

LSU Tailgate/Meet up

First time in Omaha. Drove up last night with my little brother.

Are there any LSU tailgates or “LSU spots” to hit up before game time?

NB4 Thanks and GEUAX TIGAHS!
Crossing into Missouri. 5 hours left to Omaha!

I've had a couple of pairs for the past 5-7 years and like them.

Can you drop a pin.... maybe the gate code?
Sir, you are a scholar and a saint. I come here every single year for your guidance.

Good Morning everybody, have a great day
I've never played the course during the winter months. It's a fun little 9 hole course. I don't know if I would fight the cold temps to play it though.

re: Hunting and fishing by yourself

Ya, that's who I'm talking about. The silver lining is that they determine that it was caused by a heart issue. His father, brother and himself all had heart problems. Terrible ordeal but at least it wasn't caused by some type of accident.
I'm younger but I have no problem hunting/fishing alone as far as being "lonely" goes.... the negatives though is doing anything out of a boat. I mainly duck hunt and the buddies I grew up duck hunting with have since moved away. Duck hunting solo (especially with a boat) is just dangerous... we had a guy in our area drown pretty recently. I don't hunt solo unless I have to at this point.
Me and some buddies went out of Venice in late March 2 years ago and hammered the tuna

re: The Oyster Bed

I think that the oyster bed is supposed to be lighter and easier to clean since it's pewter.

Exact same concept though and I don't think it would be a huge difference maker

This is the exact recipe that I used last night. It turned out great. Due to the size of the oyster cups and the size of my oysters, I did 2 oysters per cup and it worked out perfect.

The only problem I had was getting my traeger up to the heat I wanted but that's a different problem.

The Oyster Bed

I have been trying to get an oyster bed for the past two years but they have always been sold out. My mom was able to surprise me with one for Christmas this year. I'm excited to try it out and I wanted to know if anyone had one and what your favorite recipes were, so I could try them out myself.

I appreciate the help and hope ya'll have a good day.

We sure could've used a thermacell yesterday morning..... sitting on the levee at 4:30am sweating my arse off and fighting mosquitos

re: Anyone on a sober streak?

It's the holidays.... I'm on a whatever is the opposite of sober streak
Restaurant in Monroe, Louisiana...... I think their water had been cut off, no ice or metal silverware since they couldn't wash dishes
Went to a restaurant a couple of years ago that was out of ice...... fricking ice
Saturday I could've hunted in swimming trunks rather than waders..... Sunday was in the high 30s with 20 mph winds
Well..... the NFL isn't going to stop until it stops putting players out of games

Ya, I'm only talking about the East Side of the river. We used to put in at Alabama Landing and hunt the West side, but I haven't been out that way in years. Gonna got take a look at Darbonne Lake.

Slight exaggeration.... I should've clarified:

Russell Sage: Bean Fields have no water, Pintail Alley has no water, South to Petticoat Bayou has no water.

Upper Ouachita: South End has enough water for maybe one group to hunt in. North End is similar.

D'Arbonne: Haven't checked it out yet but since its a lake that holds water 24/7,365 then maybe that's where I need to go.

Our issue is water in NELA. I've tromped all over Ouachita Parish (Sage, Upper and Black Bayou) and just can't find water. Glad to hear at least someone is seeing them.... hopefully we will see them soon too
My dad let me and my brother do a lot of questionable things growing up but the one that would have gotten us in the most trouble was that I was the youngest person in my grade and everyone else got their driver's license our sophmore year except me. I was literally the only person without a license.

He said that if everyone else was driving it wouldn't matter for me to be driving, it also kept him from having to drive me and my little brother to school each morning (which was the opposite way of his work). I prolly drove for a solid year without a license.

re: Green jeans are awesome

That sounds like a terrible experience. I have been out of duck hunting for a while now because of this very reason. With my occupation, one federal ticket and I have to go in front of a disciplinary board and possibly lose my license. Ducks just have so many rules you can break and the repercussions are huge for small violations.

I did get stopped this Saturday though. Prolly one of the best encounters I've ever had with a GW. We had a boat about 200 yards down a highline that we were going to have to drag by hand since it wasn't a designated ATV trail. He checked us, everything checked out and then offered to drive his ATV to the boat and tow it out for us. Restored my faith in the Green Jeans, or at least this one in particular.
