Chocolate isn't good for dogs, but it all depends on how much they consume. Peanut butter usually isn't a concern, in fact I use peanut butter to give my dog meds. With that said, if its white chocolate I don't think its nearly as bad, but just keep an eye on him. If he starts throwing up and acting off then call the vet.. Or google might have some info.

Try this calculator. Depending on the dog's size and the size of the candies (regular or minis) you are looking at very mild to mild I think.

Why even chance it ? There are so many other things you can feed man’s best friend that are 100% safe .

Peanut butter is safe for dogs, and my dog used to live for peanut butter more than anything else on the planet .. my boy loved peanut butter as much as most of the baws on here love fricking their cousins .

Our 35 pound mutt some how found a bag of Hershey chocolate chips and ate almost the entire bag. I went to Walmart and bought charcoal pills, ground them up and mixed it with water and used a medicine dropper to make him swallow the mixture. He threw up and shite chocolate all day. Perfectly back to normal the next day.

I have a half jack russell, half smoothfox terrier
She ate a bunch of advent calendar chocolates.

She was fine. I don’t think there is a whole lot of chocolate in a PB cup. Dark chocolate is usually the culprit for dogs

I once did the calculations on the minimum toxic does of theobromine and dogs. Even with high quality milk chocolate a conservative minimum would be 1oz per pound. Given the chocolate to peanut butter in the Reese's cups even a 15lb terrier would need a lot of cups maybe in the two pound range.

Mine ate whole bag of Mr Goodbar with foil and paper, then decided to go for Popeyes 5pc spicy tenders (mardi gras mustard) with side of red beans and biscuit. Thought he would eat that in reverse and have the Mr Goodbar as dessert, but no.

He will be fine.

Don’t do the freak out panic thing.

Most likely, the dog will probably puke and shite a little more times than normal

You'd need a bunch of milk chocolate to kill even a small dog. 5 Reese's cups probably won't even give him the shits. Dark chocolate and baking chocolate is when you need to worry. Your pup will be fine.

My GSP pup ate about 20 mini Rece’s cups yesterday from my kids stocking.

As a precaution I gave her a teaspoon of salt. In a matter of 3 minutes she had puked 4 times and that emptied the stomach. . We were back to playing in 15 mins.

He's acting normal. No ill effects really. He's trying to eat the new kitten right now which is totally normal behavior for him.

Depends on the dog. My dog has eaten plenty of chocolate she wasn’t supposed to and been perfectly fine…that bitch.
