"Officer, this is not a bar. This is an open meeting of a protest group in a building that serves alcohol. Please remove yourself from our protest because your presence is upsetting my patrons with PTSD from police interactions."

Yep, and we need some leaders to start coming out and saying this. The shut downs were a failed strategy that accomplished exactly nothing.

My company is based in Houston and they were planning to start the first phase of the return to office in the next few weeks.
I can just see the people on the decision committee reading this crap and pushing back the return to office by another month

I live in Houston and we played their game for far too long the first time. My wife has a suppressed immune system so we hunkered down and stayed home. I did all the grocery shopping and went no where else other than out on solo bike rides or kayak fishing.
I don't know that it made a damn bit of difference.
I'm not going back to lock down. I'm done.
Hell, I'm ready to go ahead and catch it. We are all eventually going to have to get it. There's no cure, and no guarantee that there will ever be a vaccine.
We've seen how damaging the lock down was to the economy. Hell, I think it's a big factor in the level of civil unrest we're seeing.

I'm sorry but this is fricking ridiculous and infuriating. In the past 3 months the Democrat narrative has been: Trump caused the Wu Flu, ALL Police and Trump killed George Floyd, and now back to Trump and Republican Governors have brought the Rona back. Stand up for your beliefs people, or Democrats will literally destroy this country.

The local private ER in the heights had about 200 people in line for tests yesterday. We've had to send a lot of people home at the office because cases are popping up. It's definitely increasing but i don't think its about to implode or anything. Regardless i'm going to the beach in Fl next week.
