When it came to the fight against LIV, while Rory was talking about it Scottie was proving it with his play.

I like Scottie way more than Rory, but this statement makes no sense. Winning tournaments did nothing in the battle between the two tours. Rory was part of the meetings, spoke to the press, and was basically shredded for being the front man for Monahan. Then, Monahan betrayed him. I don't blame Rory for taking a step back now.

He's going to treat the rest of his career like swimmers treat big swim meets. Everything will be geared towards peaking at majors. Nothing else will matter to him. If he can pick off two more majors to get even with Watson or 3 more to match Player and Hogan, that is all he cares about now.
I was pretty shocked when the first report came out about Rahm. Him playing on the DP World Tour for a season seems to make way more sense.

Anyone out there that doesn’t have Arsenal repeating?

Feels weird reading something like that as an Arsenal fan. Nice, but weird.
That went way differently than I imagined. Everyone around him kept their cool and got him out of there. Kudos to those fans, especially the giant guy that just ended it with a head shake.

I am not sure I recognize a single song on that list. Which would you say is the best song listed?

For me, Machine Head by Bush. I doubt many will agree, but I have always loved that song.

The hate has nothing to do with his golf. It's his mouth. He would do better to just stfu sometimes.

Compare him to Scottie. Rory's swing looks so much better its insane. If we were only looking at golf swings everyone would choose Rory over Scottie. But when you add a microphone it becomes a different story.

I don't admire Rory like it seems like all of the golf journalists and podcasters do. However, I do like that he speaks his mind. It's nice when someone actually gives their opinion on a matter rather than giving some cliche answer. I think the same thing about Scottie. Him going into an existential discussion about wondering why he does this during the Open last year was good to hear. It makes them much more relatable.

Brother there is a war in the Middle East that forced PIF to shift their investment strategy

This has nothing to do with viewership

LIV would have continued for years with the PIF money

So, is the argument here that LIV would've been successful if their deep pocketed sugar daddy didn't pull out? I guess LIV can hang their hats on being the equivalent of a nepo baby that would've made it big if their daddy didn't get tired of funding his failing business.

I'm kind of surprised this is getting so much traction on the internet. There's no discussion to be had. The guy clearly cheated, and his plan was terrible. Usually, you see these stories get big when sides form on the issue.

How are American PSG fans viewed?

Most of the Americans you will run into won't know who PSG are anyway. Root for the team you have a connection to.

Because it isn't a really actionable stat. You can track the amount of times you 3 putt, but overall putts per round really doesn't tell you much at all.

I get what he is saying. If you are going to track 3 putts, you might as well put the number of putts in there. There are a few stats that are good indicators of other areas that can be easily tracked by just putting the number of putts:

- 3 putts
- Up and downs - If you put in the score and a 1 putt, it shows you successfully got up and down)
- GIR - when using digital means for stat tracking, you just put in the putts and score and it automatically indicates if you hit the green or not.

So, tracking putts can be helpful, but using total putts to analyze a round is pointless.

The Cincinnati Bengals have been parked at No. 32 for seven straight years in Sportico’s annual NFL team valuations. The small-market club plays in an older stadium, ranks near the bottom on local revenue and lacks a national brand from its Super Bowl trophy-less history.

I know owners want to act like they need a new stadium every 10 years, but does the rest of the general public think a stadium built in 2000 is older? Maybe it is technically correct if 16 other franchises have newer stadiums.

ETA: I just looked it up. Only 12 other stadiums are older. So, I guess this statement is technically correct.

Both relatively useless stats.

Agreed. A topped shot that reaches the fairway will look better in the stats than the longest drive you've ever hit that just missed by a foot. Also, you could have 25 putts one day and 35 the next, but the 35 putt day may have been better because you hit 10 more greens that day and had more putts from long distance.

Having said that, I still track putts, but that is because 3 putts are good to track and inputting the number of putts also indicates if you hit the green in regulation when combined with the score.

I believe this to be mostly true, especially for sub 80 golfers. For us who just want to break 90 consistently, I think it's more about playing in and from the fairway with an average short game.

Believe it or not, the numbers show that distance gains have much more impact on higher handicaps than lower handicaps. You see a lot of videos where advice is given to just get it in the fairway. There's just too many things wrong with this generic advice

- It assumes you have a much greater chance to hit accurate shots with sub driver. Sure, variance is greatest with a driver, but variance is still pretty wide with the next clubs down. If you are going to work on your game to find a go-to tee club, you should just work on your driver.
- Fairways are just not that important in the amateur game, especially for high handicaps. The rough amateurs play in has a negligible impact on the approach
- You can still hit driver and play smart golf. Aim away from trouble even if it means aiming for the rough. If there is trouble on both sides, err to the lesser trouble. If there is equal trouble on both sides or there is more trouble reachable with driver, then you can readjust your choice.
Will CONMEBOL and CONCACAF matter going forward? With 48 (and potentially more) teams in the World Cup, most of the teams with a pulse will qualify. The Gold Cup is an afterthought. Ideally, the Copa America just expands to include North and South America going forward to give us something to root for every other summer.

I think it’s an age thing too.

Yep, I bought Witcher 3 and the Harry Potter game. Both of them would've been right up my alley in my teens and 20s. In my late 30s with 3 kids, I couldn't put much time in each day. So, I was never able to get a feel for the games. I basically quit them after a few hours.

I did get deep into BOTW and TOTK, though. I realize they are not as in depth with menus and things, but it's still a lot more than normal Zelda games.
I haven't listened to PMT in years, but when I was a regular listener, I could not stand Hank.

It looks like this company has the rights to make LSU merchandise. I'm pretty sure Bengals and Bandits does as well. So, some of the money is going to LSU.

If the argument is that the swinging Mike the team uses goes directly to the team, I would argue that they should make the hats more readily available. I'd be willing to pay a little more for the hat to support the golf team, but I'm not paying the minimum $250.

I'm not your paperboy. Go peruse Twitter yourself

My point was that it seemed like you had some gotcha for Pride instead of the vague agreement that was announced hours ago. That agreement could go through and I don't really think it's a feather in LIVs hat. We really have no idea what it is.
Did you really post a tweet that is almost 12 hours old? I thought this was going to be some new information that was different than what everyone was already discussing in the thread.
