I'm a CFO in the services space, current company is more white collar professional services, based in Houston.
Happy to hop on a call and help you think through the role. What you are looking for will vary wildly depending on what you want to accomplish and the current strengths/weakness of the current management team.
Congrats on what you've built so far!

They already went through this period and made it out the other side.
They have been pretty steady around 1B of net income. It's shitty margins, but such is the business.

fairly certain they treat their stores essentially like an amazon warehouse. They were big on customer service and knowledge by employees ( i was an employee in BR back in 2005 ). I'm guessing with the internet people who care do their own research and you just need someone to stand there.
I'm curious what were you doing as sales in the startup? Did yall sell these services? Would you be selling these services or executing on the services for sourcing, logistics, and compliance?

Uhhhh may i ask what are you selling?
I'm guessing insurance.
My only advice for people going on there own is that it is WAY more difficult than you think. If you are basically just going to be a one man shop then its going to be much, much easier.

Great commentary all the way around, one scene I don't think came up was her looking at the cracked door in the upstaris hallway and walking right up to it. Good lord, i was physically uncomfortable. Great work to let that breathe and not go with the jump scare there.

The X-lab bikes are pretty nice, and its XDS that has been making all the big name bikes for decades. Can get a carbon frame with 105 component for 2100.
So wife and i watched the historical episode on wednesday and i was like well this is cool but i didn't want to wait to watch another to have the present day plot move forward. Last night we realized we got two episodes.
Rhys definitely was making a deal with someone on the toilet...could be a red herring and him praying to God, could be the deal he made while on mushrooms.

Thats fine, but i hate when people shite on "The hobby" when that is not what the hobby is, its some other grotesque part that was created.

The "Hobby" is multi faceted. You should stop ripping and buying to flip or whatever and just collect what you like.

It could help with late bloomer pitchers too, since age is less of an issue for teams drafting pitchers because they already know most are going to blow out or become relievers or both.
yea, but feels like those guys all have 5 years now because they get injured at some point.
