When was the last time LSU owed a $54 MILLION buyout to anybody?

never but “tax payer money” keeps every other public college program in this state going to the tune of at least that amount, every single year.

He's shown that over his years of being loyal to the university.

So he’s supposed to be AD for the next 8 months then go back to his old
post? Wouldn’t the next AD want him
out?

There is a sitting AD out there right now just waiting for the phone call. He is the preferred choice of both Jay Johnson and Kim Mulkey. Rumor is he also has a "well respected" football coach ready to accept the job.

who and who
And what coach can you hire knowing Verge has no contract and the board will get another shakeup in 8 months with the potential to move him on before the new coach has his first game here?
By all accounts Verge is well liked in the football world, that seems to be the one thing we have going for us.

He’s also, apparently, working without a contract. and Landry gets to appoint new supervisors in July.

Why wouldn’t Verge go to LSU in a week and say i want a 5 year deal at 2 million per or i’m out and good luck hiring a coach and explaining to the fans and media why you’re once again without an AD.
speaking for myself, the longer the school is being run by toddlers i will give the next coach more slack than i otherwise would

It’s Minnesota!

PJ Fleck at LSU

I have long thought PJ Fleck would do very well here. Looking at his resume:

He took Western Michigan, who has never done anything of note, from 1-11 to 13-1 in 4 years, showing steady improvement along the way.

He then took over at Minnesota. Again showing steady improvement, leading to the 2019 season, which at 11-2 was Minnesota’s best season since the 1950’s.

Then came Covid and the summer of 2020. You may remember the George Floyd situation happened in Minneapolis and was a huge deal in their community and the locker room. He essentially had to rebuild the program a second time. After an abbreviated 3-4 season in 2020, he re stabilized the program and has been at 8 or 9 wins, the historic ceiling for Minnesota, ever since.

He is not able to get much talent up there but has maximized what he has gotten. He would rebuild the culture here immediately! Let’s Reaux The Boat!!

Ok, his relationship with LSU did not end in a lawsuit.

it very clearly didn’t

If you can hire Josh, hire him

this has been true for almost the entire history of the program sadly

Kelly is still getting paid this one is posturing
After hearing some buzz on this coach I decided to do a deep dive to scout him as a potential coach for LSU next year. After doing so I can confidently endorse him for the job.

Thanks,
